STARTREK

Was the single greatest experience of my life. 5 grams of mushrooms, 3D IMAX feature at midnight showing; it was an experience like no other. I have never felt so intertwined in a movie plot! It is a super awesome movie to say the least and I highly suggest you check it out!

Cool, I'm looking forward to the movie. Maybe I'll take 5g too

I saw the last Harry Potter on shrooms, beer, weed and a perc. Was good times and I was totally engrossed in the movie.

What a waste of shrooms...you should've went outside and become one with nature...that's what I would've done. Look up at stars and enter the void. ANYWAY nice to hear you had fun

Lol, I've tripped in nature tons of times. I'm 36 and have explored the realm of psychs in depth.

Sometimes you just want to FEEL the movie, y'know what I mean.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

The new Star Trek is out? Maybe I'll go with my kids. I thought the first new one was pretty decent.

Apparently the Scottish guy from Stargate Atlantis wanted to be Scotty in the new movies but they picked Simon Pegg instead. I like Simon Pegg and all but I think the other dude would have been a better choice.

Seeing this one in IMAX tomorrow night! Not sure if it's worth the $16 or whatever ungodly amount they charge these days, but still should be good times. Abrams does amazing work, does he not?

Checked it out last night and it was pretty cool. I don't normally go for the 3D if I can avoid it, but I missed the non-3D one around that time. The 3d was alright, looked pretty natural most of the time.

I thought it was kind of lame how little they showed of the Klingons, it's like they used those face masks to save on makeup.

I've never gotten into star trek
but I've been thinking it's about time

should I start with the new movies (they're prequels, right?)
or should I look into the old tv show

The new movies are a re-imagined version of the series.

If you have never seen any trek, I would recommend to start with star trek:next generation.

then the older ST movies

then original star trek

then whatever you feel like. Deep space 9 was good, voyager was ok, enterprise I never watched.

Yeah TNG is good to start out on. I never really got into the original series, but I liked everything post-TNG (even Enterprise.) Enterprise is definitely the hardest to like of the new series, super cornball but I got to like it. The rule of thumb with the original series movies is supposed to be that the even numbered ones are good. I liked #6 the best.

I liked DS9 the best story line was good but the ending was super depressing
