I loved the hobbit.
Reference to radagast the brown's love for mushrooms has gone to his stomache/gandalf offers him a hit of some pipe weed to calm him down(which sets him on his ass)

I thought it was good but some people I've talked to said it was too confusing and overdone.  I was very into Tolkien growing up, so I might be biased, but I liked the way they handled the movies.

Don't try to figure out everything if you've never read the book, all the different races and their assorted histories can be a bit overwhelming.  Just go with it as a character story and I think it can be enjoyable.

but i woudln't be downloading the hobbit at this point in time, thats a high risk torrent, plus it will be shit quality as well

ill give ya a quick preview of lord of the rings and wont ruin anything.

a ring of massive power is forged. it gets lost in a cave and golem finds it (precious). gandalf is the main good wizard in the hobbit and lord of the rings. the plot of lord of the rings is to destroy the ring of power.

cant remember the main characters name from the hobbit but he finds the ring which later gets passed on to gandalf, which you will find out in the next movies.

the actual plot of the hobbit can be told in 10 mins but its worth it to see because of the dialogue, costumes, cinematography, and landscape shots

Frodo got on my nerves but Bilbo is pretty cool :cool::thumbup:

I do like this one more then the trilogy

But you want to see the hobbit? Dude watch the trilogy then the hobbit. both lotr and the hobbit are epic, but if you think lotr is corny, I doubt you will like the hobbit.

Oh thank goodness someone else thinks the same as me. Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom annoy me....sometimes. I think they're just really bad actors but maybe not the worst cause I've seen much worse
