Knock on wood never been arrested, not even as a youngster, good credit, I've travelled internationally to Europe and Asia which I don't think should raise red flags.

In terms of drugs haven't used anything other than prescription meds and the occasional alcohol. The only blip would be my ex she can be kind of bitch and if for some reason she's pissed off at me (usually projecting her own dirt on me) she could be a wild card if they were to interview her.

Right now my biggest concern is the age thing on Army message board people have posted that they aren't granting age waivers.

go for it. its not the marines  lol.,, the Army is like a MASH episode, its like college with a machine gun. youll likes. I wish I could go back but Im to old now..

yes, I though so when I was 17, but now I look back I kick myself in the ass for dropping out ocs,  changing my mos and not excelling in pilot school.

I dropped out high school., was excepted in the army's dep delay entry program, from there I went to a cadet school to get my ged UMMM 25yrs ago, and fly helicopters, couldnt get that shit, active reservist and then fully active engineering mos 21p. electric I could do, that helicopter shit looks good, but on paper its a motherfucker.

It's incredibly hard to even be considered for OCS as a recruit at this time...they have the luxury to be picky right now. You have to jump through hoops to even enlist. They aren't granting any waivers for anything right now.

When I was shipping to basic, a fellow recruit spent $2000 of his own money to travel to a recruiting region that would accept him for OCS and took him a better part of the year just going through the red tape.

Is it really worth a scenerio like that?

However if you can speak an in-demand language or have fancy skills or a specialized degree you can leverage greatly

Other than that you're out of luck. Recruiting stations prefer to have you enlist because officer candidates don't count towards the thier monthly qouta so good luck talking to them

Although my reply to these "people" who seem to be very pro-murder in here was mostly me spouting hatred instead of trying to get down their level and help their monkey-minds understand that NO GOOD CAN COME of joining the military...

You seem to be one of the only sane guys in this thread arguing from a respectable moral standpoint.

But there's no point trying to convince them that they aren't protecting the lives of the good, shining example of humanity that are the collective peoples of America...

There's shit everywhere you go, but you don't need to suit up, arm yourself and take shit to who your leader points to and tells you are the enemy... we're all people.

Except for you monkeys with guns. Try and act civilized for once. Put the guns down and talk.

Your post is pretty much what I found in my research if this was 2004 I might of had a better chance plus I was 22 than. But I've been reading about the Navy OCS there age cutoff is 34 and I've found a blog with a person that dropped out of the Navy OCS. But there's a lot of good insight from both the author and in the comments section.

^^^ Navy is a good choice, probably the best service to be an officer (besides air force).
