Merry Yule everyone... and please remember to keep the christ out of yule... its not his fucking birthday... you want to celebrate that then by all means go for it but please don't try and overtake other holidays to do it just cuz your "god" wasn't born at a convenient time for partying :p

EXACTLY!!! Honestly, so many countries have MUCH better holiday traditions than we do... like sweden has the julborg tradition which involves a central table with at least 100 different dishes to gorge upon (the largest one we have heard of had over 400 dishes)... or germany where they do something similar, only its on christmas eve... and then repeated on christmas day... makes our celebrations seem tame.

edit: there are also some kinda weird ones, like the icelandic yule cat... which is a tradition where if you DON'T recieve at least one piece of clothing for yule you will be devoured alive by a gigantic cat... great way to make kids more appreciative of the socks they get from grandma eh?
