Can you make firecrackers with this?

if you had some old weed and didn't want to risk smoking it in case it might have had developed mold, would it be safe to make firecrackers with it and eat it that way? not that you could notice anything mold-like on the weed or would know what mold on weed looks like but it is really old.

also, has anyone ever made firecrackers without wrapping them in aluminum foil? will it still work and how much will it smell if you dont use aluminum foil. the times i've done it i've used it didn't really smell at all or it didn't escape the oven.

I dunno man, if it has mold on it, a lot of times heat isn't enough to kill the toxins produced by mold. It would probably kill the spores and mycelium of the mold, but not the toxins.

Personally I would not be worried about mold if there was no specific indication of mold (weird smell etc) other than the age. If it definitely is moldy then I would just throw it away rather than take a chance with smoking or eating it.

Really old degraded weed gives a shitty buzz I find, there's a difference in perception but nothing about it is enjoyable. This old ex-con I worked with once sold the worst weed I've ever smoked, dirt cheap but it wasn't even worth the little I paid. He told me afterwards that it had been buried underground for some reason for several years.

i won't smoke it just because of how old it is but if there was some other way to make use of it, like an edible, i might as well not let it go to waste. how long could weed last if it's mostly been in a glass container? years? (like to where it was unusable)

yeah it does smell different. not that classic weed smell. it's like stronger or sharper. but i don't really notice anything abnormal visually.
