Same here, played a bit of GTA2 on the PC, then then after that played some GTA3 and Vice on the PS2 and then SA on my computer.I have GTA4 on the 360 and i can't get myself to play it. It is so...  wel it's crap in my opinion.  I hope 5 comes out guns a blazing and brings back that great gameplay of SA.

Did you know the original GTA was actually going to be a racing game not unlike RC PRO-AM?  It's true!  In the testing phase the most interesting thing about the game was when a car happened to wreck into another car, it would be sent flying all over the place, typically ending up in hilarious pile-ups involving every car on the track.  Game testers said this was the only thing that made the game worth playing, so the developers completely rebuilt the game to mostly revolve around vehicular carnage and the like.

I'm trying to find the source but it's been a really long time since I read whatever article it was.  I just found one that said the game was supposed to be more like PacMan so who the hell knows what those developers were thinking.

I paid £13 for GTA:IV. Waste of £12.

Saints Row 3 was what GTA:IV should have been. I will piratebay this, if it's any good, like, on par with vice city, I'll buy it.

My main issues with IV were that the three cities were indistinguishable from one another, except for a couple of specific areas (Bohan, Central Park) and the police cars.  Then Nikko wasn't very badass either, and there were no funny characters (e.g., OG Loc, Ken Rosenberg).  IV had some positive aspects like the new physics engine, the graphics, the size, and the interactivity with the environment were all GREAT.  Plus you could swim again.  But the missions were all practically the same and Nikko was such a stiff.  Overall, though, like I said earlier: Forgettable game.  I really hope V gets some of those things right, and they're basing it in San Andreas so I have really high expectations for like, my favorite game series.

Saul Goodman from breaking bad better replace Rosenberg and I want some underground kingpin like Gus Fringe....I hope it takes ideas from crime shows etc like vice city took ideas from scarface

i think IV was a huge failure because u can't just continue a series by stripping features that previous games had.  Because of that, it felt like they were trying to base to much of the game on graphics.

Which leads me to V, look at the trailer, all they are doing is showcasing the graphics.  If they were really going back to their san andreas roots you would be seeing  a dam bike/skateboard park or something with people doing crazy tricks. 

It'll prob be a game worth getting, but i would expect something closer to IV, rather than san andreas
