I started smoking cigarettes out of curiosity for the whole addiction process too.  Really not worth it IMO; a great buzz at the beginning but this quickly wears off by the time you're smoking all day, every day.

Best advice I can offer for quitting is to wait for the right moment.  I quit countless times before it just 'felt right', and since then I've been able to only smoke on special occasions without getting sucked back into daily addiction.  YRMV of course.

Not being a dick, just speaking from experience. Nicotine is an awful fucking substance. In any form.
And I'm not a "holier-than-thou" non-user. Dipped hard for a year and a half of so, and went through a phase of smoking like 3-4 cigs a day.
It's shitty.
Admittedly, I do still smoke, but only on very rare occasions.
But do I wish I had never had that first smoke/dip? You bet your ass.

Whenever I do pick up a pack now, it's always these delicious fucks.

Also, only having an odd smoke isn't too shabby for a three year thing. Consider yourself lucky, and you should quit while you're ahead.

The brand you should smoke? none... no seriously, just don't smoke if you don't have too. hardly a day goes by that I don't regret starting to smoke. Although if you really do want to I'd suggest cigars, or pipe tobacco. its ever so slightly better for you (like a punch to the head is better than a kick to the head) but you will at least be getting a more pleasurable and enjoyable experience out of it.
