hey dude, fuck the chi.  it just doesn't sound like you're a junkie dude.  i mean those who were PHYSICALLY ADDICTED.  how much dope and for long straight did you use heroin.  please be specific.  physical addiction leads to lack of control.  you sound like someone who's smug as fuck, you might have done it, but not for long and not straight, i'm talking slamming all day for days, months, years.  i ended up shitting my pants literally, going into tremors,shaking, throwing up, not being able to eat, in mexico, after running out of dope i brought with me on vacation after 2-3 days and had to come home early.  on another detox in jail, i ended up having a seizure after 3 days of no heroin.

Not all people experience those symptoms when quitting heroin, everybody's body reacts differently to it.  Like he said, you shouldn't speak for all heroin users.

Im not turning this into a pissing match. Sense your comparing mine and your experiences with addiction. Were two different people. I have been using heroin for over 3 years. Quitting twice.

The point still stands. If op can maintain self control he can use heroin and make it out. I didn't tell him he wasn't going to shit water and puke stomach acid. Or that he wouldn't be able to sleep for days and have major mood swings.

But if you can hold on you can make it out. Period.

What happened to the shroomery being for responsible smart drug use?

dude, have you not read this thread completely.  most people here that commented that did heroin for any amount of decent time and were physically strung out, not chipping like that pussy #11, will say it's a horrible thing and if you notice...no one that does it "occasionally" posted here.  all people that did it, said not a good idea.

Ok whatever but i think it's fucked up that you would say he could control it just by being strong or whatever, lol.  did you just slam once, then like wait a year and slam 10 cents and wait a year or what, cause i started by doing it for a day or so, for a long time, and it gradually progressed, just like 10/10 of the stories i hear.

That's what we all told ourselves before we started slamming it :rolleyes:  It happens...sooner or later if you keep up the using. 

I was snorting it maybe once every 2 or 3 months for a hot minute, everything was good, I had it 'under control', it was just a once in a while thing...then it started being more frequent for various reasons, usually more time on my hands and nothing to do or something like that...then I started smoking tar and 80's...eventually I'm watching IV users get soooo much more high than I am off so little and it just permeates your addicted mind until you start finally slamming.

lol...I'm pretty sure everybody quitting heroin goes through WD's.  Idk about the shitting your pants part but tremors, vomiting, shaking, and not being able to eat are pretty much what accompanies everyone who's withdrawing from H...along with a significant amount of physical pain.

I have to agree with 27 on this...self will is not going to work for 99% of the addicts out there.  #11 might be in the 1%...but I know many many many heroin addicts, those who have recovered and those still in active addiction and you don't just will yourself sober.  You might for a while, but you'll be back out there.

OP just might be the 1% that can use recreationally. So people telling him to just smoke it or try it you're basically saying to take a 99 to 1 chance of getting addicted WTF!!!! You wont know if you're that 1% until you try it and by then, 99% of the time it's too late. I'm a former heroin iv user I've been clean a few years now. I've heard some dumb ass shit here in this thread.

I hear friends hyping up heroin more than the media does, saying how it's ruining friends and family's lives.  You don't need to watch tv or listen to the radio(or any other bullshit media outlet) to know that heroin is bad.
