Car accidents

Lets hear your stories.

I got into a pretty bad accident last night ( their fault ) and im still shakin up about it. It was my first big car accident, couldnt sleep at all last night everytime my eyes shut i would replay the scene over and over in slow motion.

I had 2 friends in the car with me, they both were wearing seatbelts and i was not, ive heard more horror stories with those then i have good and last night was another one of those none of us were seriously injured however my 2 friends walked away with pains in their necks,back, and shoulder, i dont have a scratch on me.


Onto the story, We were going down a 2 lane highway as a car was coming up the other side. They were making a left turn at the light. I was in the right hand lane a white van was in the left at the light while it was red. i was cruising up to the light ready to break then it turned green so i continue on, the guy that was making the left hand turn DID NOT have a green arrow. He had a green light, which means he has to yield to traffic. I did not see him there because of the van, so im assuming he wasn't able to see me either and tried going for it before the van took off, which is fucking stupid. Next thing i know as im going under the light at about 50 heres this car right infront of me, from then on it was all slow motion i jammed on the breaks and tried swerving to the right but had no room to escape the headon crash into the front side of his car.

I had 4 witnesses there that watched the whole thing one of them being paramedics. The kid got hit with some tickets, and is 100% at fault. His car is totaled im not sure about mine yet until monday. If it is well i get 12g to me for a new car from this fuck. Thanks kid.

That sounds fucked. I've gotten in one.
I was leaving the ski resort with a buddy, was turning left but my window was frosted. He was about to t bone me but I spun my car. With a huge amount of luck, the part of my bumper that was already fucked up hit the guy's rim..So lucky.

Especially when I get out of my car, the woman in the other car screams "ARE YOU HIGH?!". I wasn't but I had a bunch of weed in my car..So glad the cops never came.

My buddy made a similar mistake with two of us in the car. We were packing a bong and he hits a protected left without stopping into oncoming traffic.
I scrambled to hide that bong in the bushes so fast.
He said he forgot he had to stop. :facepalm:
We rarely hang out with him now.

I was a passenger in a minor collision that also happened yesterday. My dad was driving and we got rear-ended when he stopped before making a right turn on a green, at an intersection where the right turn lane is sort of rounded off with a pedestrian island beside it. The people coming from the opposite direction had an advance green to turn left, so he wanted to wait in case someone decided to head right into the lane we were going into. I guess the guy behind us was following too close and didn't expect us to stop. Both cars looked fine and my dad proposed not getting insurance involved.

Funnily enough, it turned out that the driver was this old guy who we had known for years. He fixes bikes and sells them out of his driveway and we've bought a few from him over the years. The only thing that sucks is that my neck has been kind of sore, so far I don't think it's anything serious though.

Having the bong would have made me freak out, I ride dirty 99% of the time last night was not one of them, but searching the car was never even brought up.

Everyone was OK thankfully, this kids father was a real tool. The second he pulled up he jumps out of his car and starts coming at me about to fight me the state trooper sees this and runs over and pushes him away while hes talking shit. After about 15 minutes i go over to his sons car to take pictures of everything for backup, and he again starts speed walking over ready to fight me

i said oh your a tough guy huh? he goes OFFICER OFFICER im trying to get some paperwork out of my car and this guy is over here harassing me. I just laughed and walked away. The state trooper was a real cool guy too, rare for a state trooper to be a cool guy.

Was driving to college as I attempted to shift to fourth gear, the gear got stuck and would not go to fourth. Frustrated, I glanced down quickly at the shifter while driving. When I looked up, theirs a car right in front of me slowly driving across the median 3 lanes. I attempted to swerve but ended up t-boning her. Turns out this dumb cunt took the blame as she admitted to running a stop-sign, and the first thing she did was call her boyfriend.

She was taken away in a stretcher and I still deal with a cracked sternum due to the impact to the steering wheel. I've had two mushroom trips where I thought I was dead due to that accident. Ironically, when the accident happened, 'The end' by the doors was playing.

He took out the front of some dude's Mitsubishi and his front bumper was trashed, but everyone was alright.
As we're rolling up the street my buddy turned onto the talk to the guy he hit, the guy goes: "Stop! Don't run kid! I've got your plates! Cracked me up.
My buddy was totally at fault and apparently didn't have insurance for the city we were in. Sucks for him, but it was a tard move.

Oh well, I have no sympathy for retard drivers. That's not to say I haven't made a few genius moves myself...

Hit head on by International truck hauling a load of ice cream. Popped me out of the truck onto the road. Foot got caught on the way. Permanent ankle damage. Broken femur. 2 broken ribs, Torn Aorta, repaired with a Dacron graft. Cracked skull, 9 day coma. 9 weeks in traction. Torn diaphragm, stomach crammed partway into my chest cavity. Died twice, brought back. Doc told my mother I had a 6% chance of living and that if I did live, the odds were 50 - 50 that I'd never walk again. Used a walker for several months, cane after that for almost a year.

ive been in multiple accidents.

first one in my volvo a few months after getting my license. was driving too fast in hard traffic and it caught up with me. skid the breaks and was luckily in the carpool lane, rammed into the center divider. my friend with me was like, ok maybe you should just drive slow, I agreed hehe. the volvo was fine, those things are fucking tanks.

second I was in the back on a caprice (land yacht) driven by one of my friends who was on acid. she was pulling right into her neighborhood when a mustang going about 50 rear ended us. the guy was drunk and didnt see us turning. I wasnt wearing a seatbelt and just remember flying around the back seat, and hitting my head on my friends head, and on other shit.  The guy begged our friend not to call in a police report. because she was tripping or whatever she just let him go. The guys front end was mangled so badly i dont know how he even drove it. My friends caprice had a few scratches and some dings on the bumper. I remember smelling rubber for days after the accident, and my neck was pretty sore.

third I was working for guitar center as a van driver, who transports gear from one place to another. I was pulling into a gas station before hitting my route and it was packed full of people. I tried to back into the only spot my van would fit (this van was so big there was no rear view mirror, because the entire cab was obstructed), and next thing I know some lady is screaming at me. I pull forward and look back at a car that I had backed into and pushed forward while they were filling up. I tore the bumper off of it. I dont know what guitar center did but they took care of everything and I never even had the accident on my record.

fourth accident was a moped. I was offroading and went up these small cliffs. I was riding atop the cliffs with drops at either side, and suddenly the road ahead of me ended, and both me and the moped fell about 15 feet to the ground below. I wasnt wearing a helmet and hit my head on the ground, and the moped fell on top of me. I dont know how I didnt break anything  but am pretty sure I had a concussion from it, I remember riding the moped home but stopping several times and sleeping on the asphalt. I got home and was bleeding from several areas including my head, but thankfully nothing was broken.

fifth accident was going down the freeway in a 1979 honda hatchback, I was driving to a shoe place cause my work wanted me to wear better shoes or some shit. I was fucking with the radio and lost sight of the road. Looked up to see a van stopped right ahead of me. I hit the brakes and my light ass car completely lost control. I skid towards the center divider and was tboned driverside by an SUV. then was hit by an old mercedes, and a third car after that. The car looked like a soda can that had been crushed. The driverside door was completely smashed in, but fortunately I was unscathed. I didnt have insurance and have a bankruptcy as a result of that accident (about 10 years ago)

sixth accident I was racing my girlfriend home on sidestreets like an idiot. Her car was faster and she was a better driver. I was coming up on a yellow light at a busy intersection and decided to run it to stay with her. A guy in the far right lane that was stopped beside me pulled into the lane I was traveling through and stopped at the light. I hit the brakes to avoid collision but was driving a light toyota paseo, which instantly skid out of control, and right into the back of the guy. He was pissed, he said he had just bought the car. I bitched at him for going into my lane without looking, but in retrospect I was totally at fault.

seventh accident I was headed home from college in a 1998 chevy malibu and was in deadstop traffic. I heard screeching behind me and was nailed by a large pickup truck. It was being driven by some 15 year old kid who was on his cellphone or some shit. He messed my car up pretty good (they issued it as a double salvage), My back was fucked up from that accident for like 4 months. It felt like a knife was stuck in my back. But I went through a lot of physical therapy and got through it.

8th accident: was riding my harley through some canyons and took a turn too fast. There was a nice patch of sand in the middle of the road and I straightened up to avoid sliding on it during a braking procedure. By straightening up I was directed into the side of the mountain. I just broke as much as possible and ditched the bike. It went into the mountain at about 15 mph, and I went onto the asphault. Was fully geared and had some sore knees, but luckily no serious injuries.


So yeah. I have been extremely fortunate to have not been badly injured for all ive been through. I drive about 35 miles an hour everywhere I go now. heh

Some. Some I never will be. I walk with a limp. The ankle always (ALWAYS) hurts. The scars will never heal. The one on my belly is a good 14" long. The one one my back where they did the aorta repair is a 12" long J shape. There are several others. The aorta repair is Dacron so it's non-biodegradable (for my fans that means there will always be a bit of me around).

On a positive note, my Dad says I was a bit of an asshole before the crash but that I'm not too bad now.  :lol:
