Well i had one crazy ass cool trip throughout norcal and oreogon.I saw all sorts of things alcatraz, redwoods ,crater lake(it was breathtaking),I rafted the Klamath river, went exploing in ddeep challenging caves, i could go on and on but i wont.I was right to think level 4 and 5 whitewater was going to be intense but i had no idea how iintense.6 or 7 miles of it was nothing but level 4 and 5 rapids which as i said are the most challenging and dangerous if you fell out.
Well we got to the most insane rapid of all of them called caldera level 5 and 400yards long. We all had to get out and take a look at it on a ridge before we navigated it.So right at the very beggining we went down about a 6 foot drop that threw me off balence extremely then immediately(split second) we dropped again about another 4 feet or so and the front left side of the raft(my side of course) folded under the whiter and swept me down,It was terrifying i must havebeen going 20mph+ hitting dozens and dozens of sharp huge rocks i couldnt see but the worst part is i wasnt able to breathe before i was out of the boat and i couldnt breathe at all in the whitewater.
At first i was thinking 300 yards with NO air im a deadman and that terrifyed me.All my years of whitewater expirience began to take effect about half way down but even that seemed useless. It was a fight for my life i got one breathe during the 300 yards at the expense of wraping my whole body around a rock. At just about he end of the rapid i started fading out of consciencousness then i saw the t grip(handle) of an ore and i grabbed it and i was quickly pulled up,it was by far the most terrifying time of my life.
I came out of every thing with just severely bruised knees legs, hips and ribs Plus a plethera of painfull cuts.I couldnt walk for a few days but im starting to be able to i came out of this EXTREMELY lucky only one other person has ever fallen out on caldera and she broke her legs and was paralyzed.Everyone on the river treated me like a hero they were amazed at how well i handled everything.Ive honestly never have had that much respect from my family and strangers.
In a really weird way i felt really really proud of my self,im no chicken shit i really am pretty tough and i thiink i forgot that a loong time ago.In any matter it also taught me that im not immortal.I refused a helicopter so i rode crisscross in the middle of the boat holding on to the straps and at the end i wanted to keep paddling because i was coming out of shock and people respected me for doing that. The funny thing is none of what i did was for respect i was trying to save my life and when i paddled i did it for fun. All in all this was an awesome vacation saw some amazing things explored caves annd caverns.Enjoyed a night out on the town in san fran.Loved orgeon great change of pace from the desert and i saw my brother who has a baby onn the way made me feel old lol it made me feel even older when he told me his girl was 19(the same age as me)

I'm not going to change the way I look or the way I feel to conform to anything. I've always been a freak. So I've been a freak all my life and I have to live with that, you know. I'm one of those people.
