Op is so full of shit. How people come to develop this sheltered, psychotic mindset that suggests the poor should die off, while the rich obviously earned ever penny is beyond me. Go fuck yourself bud, and take your backwards ass views with you. May life mirror the same compassion you show the world dipshit :commonsense:

Say the guys living on the HANDOUT of owning the world's reserve currency and printing dollars out the ass to live a leisure life on our earnings.

You guys wouldnt be ANYWHERE without being the world's reserve currency, America was once a great nation, then it got complacent and stopped putting effort in being great. Instead of defeat the competition by work better and harder you wage wars for gain.

This is going to end. Everybody is getting out of Dollars these days.

Also funny how poverty levels actually rose with the "great society" programs that were supposed to stop it.

Bullshit.  Why do most of the wealthy continue to be wealthy?  Money pays for their prenatal healthcare, fillings for their cavities, braces for straight teeth, well-funded schools, a nutritious diet, a literature rich home, cultural experiences, tutors for math, SAT classes, and on and on.  Compare that to growing up in the ghetto.  Those kids don't stand a chance compared to the silver spoon kids.  Liberalism seeks to level the playing field by bringing some of these advantages to the poor.

Its for society's own good.  Someone who is healthy is more likely to be employed, and more productive than someone bogged down by illness gone chronic because they cant afford to see a doctor.

If someone with treatment resistant TB goes to the doctor he gets quarantined and cured as fast as possible.  A ghettodweller with TB cantr afford a doctor so will infect hundreds of people before finally making it to a free clinic.

Take it from me, people in the first and second world are looking in horrified amazement at your unwillingness to help your less fortunate countrymen. Its not communist or fascist its having a fucking heart you morons :crankey:

KENYA can find the funds to have near free health care, near free public transportation and near free education. Its called prioritizing.

Most wealth is generational as is poverty.  Seems that there are many circumstances beyond an individual's control that contribute to being rich or poor.  Liberalism seeks to level the playing field.  The best trick libertarians and conservatives have played on the middle class is that middle class interests lie with the rich.  They do a great job of that bullshit too because they are so damn well funded and skillfully villainize the poor - as if poor people are the problem.  Hard work?  Trade places with a manual laborer or be a banking executive.  Which one is the hard, honest worker?

Not only does being a banking executive make more money but it is also more difficult...manual labor sucks but it doesn't require the knowledge/training that executive banking/ programming / engineering/ etc... does

Are poor people lazy and deserving of poverty?  Are bankers and executives hard-working and deserving of millions?

Poor people will typically be lazier than the wealthier. And yes, bankers and executives are hard working and deserve every penny they make. This is another problem I have with liberals. You guys think the government should be deciding how much these people make. Let the free market handle it.

Big bankers/exec's didn't just find an ad on craigslist one day saying "looking for CEO, no exp. required". They worked their way up the ladder. jesus christ.

"deserve every penny they make"  I would agree with you in principle, but since the financial crisis, bankers continue to make big bonuses despite running their financial institutions into the ground, and without the help of the government, they would be looking for new jobs.

How can a executive that losses money for his company, continue to make as much for himself as ever?  This is called corruption, and it exist in the financial markets today.

I really hate to burst your bubble, but there are no "free markets" anymore. Too big to fail is when the bankers own the politicians. It's a great system, as I banker I take big risks and when they turn out great I win, when I make a mistake I get bailed out, once again I win!!

Your principles are correct in theory, but we just don't live in that world anymore. Capitalism is a great concept if used, but we gave up on it for the last 10 years, and mostly since 2008. Study the economic realities of today, you will find out your are quite misinformed.

Well said, what most people do not understand is that the US dollar will no longer be the reserve currency in the future, when will it end?  Sooner than most think.

All global trade has been conducted in US dollars since WW 2, but just within the last 12 months, nations from all over the world have entered into bilateral trade agreements with themselves, bypassing the use of the dollar, this is huge.

The world knows the dollars gig is up and they are preparing for a world without the dollar as a reserve currency. Americans have no understanding how this will change their lives, the free lunch will end and a much lower standard of living will arrive.

Why?  because my standard of living is likely to decrease, and I'd pay even more taxes.  So I stay put.

This is a mindless mantra.  Where did the 40 hour work week come from?  Minimum wage?  Safety regulations?  Unemployment benefits?  Environmental protections?  Food safety laws?  Government codifies this stuff because a lack of government would never do any of it.  The free market fails at this stuff, read Laissez Faire policies and its impact in the US.  Government is not perfect and has considerable problems, but many times it is the only defense the people have against other forces who wish to squeeze the sweat and blood and money from them.

its not always that poor people are lazy, are lot of them are literally insane by the definition that they do the same thing over and over and expect different results... such as parents who work their asses off in minimum wage jobs, who are married to people who do not work, and give money to their noncontributing spouse and adult spawn continuous and wonder why they continue to waste money on drugs and alcohol rather than go out and get a job and live on their own.

 its really a shame how some people work so hard to remain poor because they allow the people they love to leech of them.

Let the market decide!  What would that look like?  Millions of people currently earning minimum wage and not making ends meet will become millions of people even worse off.  Will corporations and businesses pass their savings on to the consumer in the form of lower priced goods and services?  Or will money get further funneled into the hands of the wealthy few and make the rich richer and the poor poorer?

No one is saying the republicans are the answer. But your blind, knee jerk, ultra lib faggot shit is pathetic and makes people hate liberals.

One trip to the tag office will tell you why getting the government involved is a bad idea. Grow the fuck up.

One trip to a well-funded public school in a rich neighborhood will show you that government involvement in education can have tremendously positive consequences that far exceed the investment.  I'm knee jerk?  You are painting with a broad brush as you repeat cliches about government ineptitude.

If spending money for education was the solution, this country would have the smartest and brightest, but we don't.

What do rich communities have: 1. Two already educated parents for the child 2. A strong emphasis on education 3. The ability to help the child with homework and other educational activities 4. A competitive environment, which rewards success.

What do poor communities have 1. Broken homes with no father or no educated parents 2. No to little emphasis on education 3. No ability to help the child with school work 4. A environment which looks down on high achievement in school, it's too white

Many years ago they poured a massive amount of money in inter city Washington DC, the highest per student spending by double, the results were very little. No matter how much they spend, they could not change the results, it was beyond discouraging. It takes a community to raise and educate a child, money from the government can only do so much.

We don't?  Harvard, Yale, Hopkins, Cornell.  Have you heard of these places?  Some of the best educational institutions in the world are here.  Why do you think so many foreign students come here?  It's not because the education sucks.

Why not move to a different country you say?Because and country is more than its economics.

Are you saying that US has the best education system/most amount spent on education.I disagree.

And there are social programs that work with making communities more aware of the benefits of education, condoms, encouraging your children to succeed, avoid drugs and other such jolly things.
It's about helping build stable communities that's why it's called communism
