i'm guessing it's because there is only so much space, and that they have to take off things to put on more, and that they probably switch 'em up from time to time.

its not about space its about money. they can only afford to keep so many movies on the instant area for so long otherwise they won't make any money. i.e. their whole stupid ass increasing-the-price and attempting-to-break-the-company-up scandal 9 months ago or so

i thinking it has to do with the rights to the movies. :shrug:

seriously though, search for a movie you really want to watch and they wont have it.

If you find a TV show worth watching it pretty much pays for itself. Breaking Bad, United States of Tara, Walking Dead, Weeds, etc. But if you aren't into watching random movies its not worth the price anyomre

I was actually going through it yesterday and found lots of good ones that weren't on there before. It was a very pleasant surprise. Snatch, The Man from Earth, Network, Drive, A Clockwork Orange, etc:

don't get wrong, they have plenty of awesome shows and movies, but when it comes down to searching for a certain movie you really want to watch in the heat of the moment, most of time they wont have it.

I was gonna say, I can almost always find a pretty good movie to watch but if I ever want to see a CERTAIN movie theres like a 13% chance it'll be available

Yea, they constantly switch them up. I get the impression there are contracts for a majority of movies and they are for a certain amount of time. Dexter used to be on there but before I could get there it got kicked off :frown:. However I just watched the Man from Earth and I thought it was great! Random gems are the reason I keep netflix
