Boiling Chaga

Can anyone tell me if boiling chaga destroys the superoxide dismutase enzyme it contains?

I have never prepared chaga, but when making reishi tea I've read from many sources that simmering over a long time is the preferable way to make tea without denaturing the bioactive compounds. I normally simmer it for an hour or two or more, the finer you can chop the chaga the less time it needs to thoroughly steep.
