Kony is a warlord in Uganda abducting children to indoctrinate them into his rebel child army and has been indicted by the ICC for massive human rights violations.  Spread the word on his atrocities by sharing the following video on your facebook or donating a few dollars today to invisible children, the organization dedicated to stopping him.  I realize that money is tight for many of us; however, it easy to drink one less beer and donate that few dollars to those who need it most.  Either way, sharing the video is free.  Knowledge is power.  :jellyfish:

Yeah, the foreign policy is seriously fucked.  Unless we completely topple the Iranian regime (which doesn't seem probable), it seems like whatever we do short of nuking the fuck out of them will not prohibit them from attaining a nuclear weapon, should they choose to do so.  The idea of "spreading democracy" to other countries has been proven unrealistic, even IF (a big if) admirable.  IF we are going to intervene, it should be for seriously fucked up shit like this rather than because we simply don't like their manner of government.

There is a group in my area and around the country called "Invisible Children" who are meeting up on 4/20 and encouraging others to come out as well. The idea is to get the word out and inform more people of Joseph Kony and the LRA's ('The Lord's Resistance Army') horrendous acts.

This is off topic but referring to reeferaddict69's signature, a close friend of mine got to meet Neal Degrasse Tyson.. Wish I could have been there as well, he's extremely knowledgeable and from what my friend told me he is a really cool guy and really good at explaining astrophysics concepts in layman's terms.
