Iran does not need nuclear power to destroy Israel.
Spiritual power will suffice.
But it is all relative to time...At the moment I am unsure of their destiny.

Why is this one rabbi constantly cited by the anti-Israeli/anti-zionist posters?  I've also never seen him cited except in video or pictoral form.


It looks like the posters are either presuming the community ignorant or are expressing their own limited knowledge.  This guy is well known for his very uniqueness in being pretty much the only rabbi zealously campaigning against zionism on scriptural grounds in the public forum.

I can't help but suspect that the posters either are mistaken and think this guy's religious position is a signifigant minority position, or that they are presumign the audience will assume that position (falsely).

That guy's position is just as much based on religious covenenants and God's promises as any Abrahamic clergy you might dislike.  Its not that he believes Jews don't have a right to Palestine, its that he believes they don't yet have the right- far from a rejection of the concept of Zionism altogether.

Why is zionism the problem as opposed to any of the other movements/doctrines that without which there would be no similar conflict?

Israel, as a liberal democracy, seems a great state in comparison to the surrounding bastions of neofascism and thuggery- which is exactly why the palestinians never got a state.  Had the surrounding neighbors not immediately started illegal wars, the Palestinians would have had their own state, as well as access to Israeli lands under relatively nondiscriminatory law (per the region's norms), for half a century.

For the record, I am a 110% supporter of left-wing Israel and I am 110% opposed to Zionism. That is to say, I believe what most left-wing Israelis believe: that Jews, Christians, Muslims, atheists, Buddhists, and everyone in between has a right to live in the region. Zionism does not agree with this. I can't, for the life of me, be convinced that an all-Jew or all-Christian or all-Muslim holy land could ever work out peacefully. I mean, who can forget what started the fuckin crusades?!?
