Got some piracetam.

took the "attack" dose of 3.2g.  Feel a bit foggy.  tired. Lack of motivation for much.

Was ready to nap at 5pm.

Tried to work on music but it sounded bland.

I will start the regular dose tomorrow in hopes it is different, or that I react differently.

Kinda feel like it is the opposite of what it is suppose to do. maybe it is my chemistry.

Pretty big dose... I tried piracetam for a month on about 1 gr a day, sometimes a little more.

I still have a ton im just too lazy to cap it all to eat it

Supposedly you need to mix it with choline to make it work efficiently.

hmm well it certainly does affect everybody differently, but yeah just keep dosing for another week or so and see how its treating you. ive even found that itll sometimes affect me differently from day to day (ranging from fluid and vivid to foggy and groggy). also found that i enjoyed it the most during probably the 3rd-6th weeks or so. ive been taking it for a like half a year now, somewhat off n on, and have also been dabbling with pramiracetam lately (strong stuff). so yeah overall ive certainly enjoyed experimenting with these nootropics, and hopefully you can find some benefits in them as well!

You took too much.  I don't really believe in attack doses, larger doses tend to have the opposite effect of what you're going for.  Most people have to take it for a few days to start noticing effects.  IME the best dosage was 800mg every 4-6 hours with a choline supplement in the morning.  I should start another regimen myself, I was really pleased last time.

Does this stuff actually work? I always thought memory/brain function enhancers of all sorts were just crap.

I Feel something. I want to give it a few days to hone in on the differences between baseline.  But there are a ton of reports about it's effectiveness. as well as shroomery users.

I think it works personally or else its a hell of a placebo.  I'm a college student and when I was on a regular piracetam regimen I started studying about half as much and remembered more information.  I've always had a poor memory and combining that with being a stoner makes me pretty airheaded sometimes, piracetam regimens keep me sharp.  I have to watch my caffeine intake when I take it frequently though because it becomes too much.  If you're expecting speed you'll be sorely disappointed but it seems very effective for me and the people I know that have tried it.

Yeah I read that too.  I'm just stating my empirical observations from my actual use of the substance and observing a couple people around me.  Much like anything else your experience will vary, but your description of what happened is exactly what happens when I take too much.  :shrug:

Yup. And I never took more than 1.5 grams. 3g+ always put me in a weird daze. My best effects were actually from lower doses 800-1600 mgs and the choline dosage would be 1/4 of whatever mg I took for piracetam.

I recommend it for actual use of work, studying, or doing something that requires mental effort. It works really nicely.

Another thing I've noticed about it that I forgot is when its working I had a very serene, calm mind.  Perhaps this state also helped me in my pursuit of learning/memory.. I tend to have a very anxious, flighty head.

I as well have a very active mind. Very internalized and alwasy ticking away at something. I have been practicing slowing it down for years but it always just keeps going.

I may really have to look into this, I've been experimenting (and I use that term loosely) with D-Aspartic Acid, L-Arginine, DHEA, Glucosamine&MSM, Fish Oil, and Zinc supplements for working out, but I really need something to clear my head. I go through "scenarios" constantly in my head, like "what if my friend fucked me over, and I said THISthen he said THAT, then my brother got involved and started fucking with me by doing THAT ETC ETC ETC and it really messes with my head and my emotional well being. Its like I take everything that could possibly happen and follow it to its worst possible conclusion. Also when I'm trying to get to sleep my mind will suddenly start conjuring up horrific images/video/realistic experiencing it myself/ of my loved ones getting injured in terrible accidents. Meditation helps but I wish I could find something to help clear this shit up.



TL;DR
I take some other supplements and I might try this one. I have an overactive, extremely realistic and often uncontrollable imagination that fucks with me.

Yeah, IME if you take too much Piracetam it can leave you in a weird dazed state.  The stuff definitely boosts my creativity and memory though, although I've read Aniracetam's better (albeit more expensive).  :thumbup:
