What is the best Terence Mckenna lecture for a beginner?
    #15500975 -

Hey guys! over the past couple of years i must have listened to 100's of hours of Terence Mckenna lectures... a friend of mine is taking mushrooms for her first time, and i want her to listen to a couple of lectures by him so that she's well prepared. What do you think are Terence's best lectures for a novice tripper to listen to?

Also, if you want to recommend lectures by other speakers feel free to do so. Thanks!

Id say this as well. His ideas on social programming and psychedelics evolving human consciousness are probably his 2 biggest ideas.

I'd suggest anything that focus' on the stoned ape theory, some of his other theories are too out there.

my favorite lecture is titled "Starwood" on my MP3 player, it's the lecture Shpongle used for the song "A New Way to Say Hooray"

"Victorian Tales of Cannabis" *attached* are good too but they really aren't his ideas, he's only reading other people work

Head out to a library and pick up "Food of the Gods", for sure!

'Seeking the Stone' was one of the first lectures of McKenna's that I listened to way back when.

..from there I went to 'Unfolding the Stone', into the understanding (forgot the actual lecture name), and then into the Imaginations.  I'd also highly recommend 'Dreaming Awake' for the McKenna newbies (the sound gets better later on, promise!)

While this isn't a full lecture (just tidbits scrapped from another), I find that this video makes me think every time I listen.
