lactarious delicious / no standard gills

I have been told that absence of normal gills is due to attack of other fungus. I did find same thing on totaly different location.

Hypomyces parasitize's it's host mushroom. Lactarious Delicious has a carrot orange latex when cut, in some forms slowly staining dark red when exposed. Eventually the wounded or aged tissue will stain greenish within 5 hours.

Yes, it looks somewhat like a hypomyces lactifluorum infection. However, that doesn't occur in Europe to the best of my knowledge. Perhaps another, related hypomyces species? I'm not really sure, but it does look interesting!
