check out what i got from my schools library.




it is in really good shap besides a few library markings and a card slot in the back.
i got it from my school library, i just told them i lost it and paid for it cuz they probabaly wouldnt have sold it to me.

I know it's tempting, if you love books, and I have certainly been tempteted many times in my years...

Rare, out of print, first edition, hardcovers by the likes of Kerouac, Kesey, Bukowski, and many, many, others, are all out there -- floating around in University and Public Libraries from caost to coast...

But please, take it back. It's bad karma, and it's just not right... :frown:

If you love something, set it free...

Sure, later some other idiot will probably steal it, but at least that idiot won't be you! :wink:

Do what I do -- comb the Salvation Army Stores, the Garage Sales, and the Musty old book stores. Every now and then you will find some really cool stuff; pay for it; and it will be, honestly, yours! :cool:

Please help the libraries keep their treasures, even if they don't treat them like treasures... :smile:

PS: TheBear, since it's already transpired and money was exchanged, what's done is done. I wasn't trying to come down on you. It's just that I've thought about that kind of thing many times before, and always avoided it. Just giving advice and opinion... :smile:

i can always say i found it and give it back but theyll probabaly jsut tell me to keep it so its like i bought it. all my friends told me to jsut take it but i wanted to atleast pay some money

Yeah, paying makes it better. Like I said, I'm not trying to come down on you, it's just that I've thought about that kind of thing several times -- especially regarding rare or out of print books that can be found in libraries, and I've always opted to just let 'em be...

I wouldn't stress about this one -- you're ok. It's just something to consider in the future. :laugh:
