WEEN

Any fans of the boognish here? To me they are the most underrated band of all time. I compare them to the The Beatles and Butthole Surfers. Check out the songs Little Birdy, Sarah, Baby Bitch, Voodoo Lady, Freedom of 76', Transdermal Celebration, Zoloft, Bananas and Blow, Even If You Don't, The Stallion Pt. 3, A Tear For Eddie, What Deaner Was Talkin' About, Candi, The Mollusk, Mutilated Lips, Ocean Man, Piss Up A Rope, and possibly the creepiest song ever - Spinal Meningitis (Got Me Down). They are like an octopus, they can't be put in a box, and they do not have a tune I do not like. You can't go wrong with Gener's amazing vocal range and Deaner's guitar playing. PLEASE listen to and spread the musical euphoria of WEEN! They are The Beatles that (most) people have never heard of or given them a chance for a serious listen because they think they are a "joke" band. While they do of course have a humorous element to them and may not act they don't care, they are actually extremely talented and serious musicians. Please check them out.

Ween is not underrated. They are well-known and appreciated by core fans of many different genres and appreciated by the most selective of music fans.

They're definitely not underrated here. There's like thirty ween threads in this sub-forum alone, I'd imagine probably similar in 'The Pub'.

'White Pepper'...mmmmm...peppers.

love their satirizing of glammed-up progrock, those tend to be my favorite songs of theirs.

my favorite thing about them is that you can tell who they're referencing in their songs, for example:

I was talking to a friend about them and I said, "y'know their Motorhead song?"
To which he replied, "You mean 'Its Gonna be a Long Night?' "
