That was pretty good.

This one isn't acoustic, but it's cool as fuck. 27 string guitar.

I love that Butler tune, but here's a pretty sweet Tommy Emmanuel tune.

Those bros got some fuckin' chops, the guy in the first video was better in my opinion, he was voice leading fucking well and I bet all of that is pretty improv.  Second vid, dude wasn't doing anything all that impressive except playing a 27 string guitar.  Jeff Loomis does some pretty amazing things with seven strings.

Oh yeah I wasn't trying to compare the videos, I was just sayin' the first guy has more chops.  Still some awesome ripping on a 27er.

I have found Dominic Fresca to be a fascinating guitarist:

I had a feeling you'd be posting 'Ocean' even before I clicked the thread. :cool3: A musician named Erik Mongrain comes to mind, but I wouldn't say some of his work is more impressive (though perhaps there is more depth).

Tommy Emmanuel.

This.  Tommy Emmanuel had already mastered the acoustic guitar 40 years before this guy was even born.

Also check out Stephen Bennett on the harp guitar.

Also have to mention my buddy Matt Thomas.  He's only a year older than me and playing a style like this!  Very good musician, has tons of dedication and passion.  Writes tons of beautiful melodies.

Its a whole different level when guys like this can  write albums worth of acoustic music of this caliber year in and year out, not just a song or two.  Great live, he had opened for Tommy Emmanuel locally a few times, even when he was still in high school.  He's won international finger picking championships etc.  Nice, humble dude to boot.

He has a cool drum techniques but his guitar techniques is so so.  Probably self taught.  Lots of people can play better than him.

This guy is IMO the best rock guitarist today.  If you put on good headphones for the second video you can hear all the nuances and subtleties.  Incredible feel.

Joe Bonamassa

INCREDIBLE Three Piece....Stunning musicianship....

Here he is at 12...Plays better than many professionals.
