can you install games on windows loaded on a hypervisor?
    #15032812 -

i don't see why not, anyone know some reason that game would run slower? hypervisors usually have assigned memory. was thinking about skipping dual boot, installing a hypervisor to boot from, and then having two virtual operating systems. windows and ubuntu 11.4

with 2.5 gigs ram I can assign 1.5 gigs ram to each operating system. not the fastest but games should run just fine, i also have the hd 4670 graphics card installed in a pci slot. can't do dx 11 but dx10 should run just fine on vista right or do you need 750 mb graphics processing for that? THANKS

How about using the RAM for the games, and loading the operating system onto an SSD drive?

ok, do you have any links on how to do that?? I didn't know you could install an operating system on an external drive. can I install a virtual machine for the operating system, load the operating system from an external drive, then still assign most of the ram to the games? how much ram would I need just to load the virtual drive, and the external drive operating system? like a gig total? that would leave me 1.5 gigs left to assign to the desk top then.
