Hows it going? Whats happening in your lives today?

I just had my first exam of the exam period, wasn't too bad. Now I'm jammin out to some Dead and playing Battlefield. Pretty :feelsgoodman:. And I might get somethangs to eat in a sec :grin::rasta: It's a nice sunny day, and the clouds are looking pretty fly.

Damn it I miss college. I cant wait to go back for another degree!

There is nothing better than the college atmosphere. Quality learning, video games, friends, fun on campus events. Its a fucking festive place man.

It's great work for great pay. There is alot(I mean alot) of material to cover though. Paramedicine is my major(already a firefighter/EMT-b) when I get my medic license I plan on going for a degree in organic chemistry or psycho-pharmacology. Nice thing about this line of work is that if you are on a fire service,  in general you only work less than 100 days a year. That leaves alot of free time for fun things and bettering yourself.

Plan on being a teacher? Para-medicine covers anatomy,biology,pharmacology, practical skills such as intubation, starting iv's,reading cardiac rhythms, etc etc. Lots of shit to know cause you definitely can easily fuck up and kill someone.

Firefighting was one of my possible career choices.

The thing is... All the city departments ask that you live in the vicinity at the time of application. That is kind of wack. If I wanted to work in a city department then I would have to move there and hope I get lucky no?

While not always the case, most services require that you have a valid address within the city at time of hire. You can still apply and hope to get lucky. Do you have your fire1,fire2,and EMT-b licenses yet? That would be your first step. If you live in a small town, see if your department will sponsor you for your fire training. That way, you can get some experience as a volunteer.Good luck getting full-time with smaller departments(last opening I saw had 250 applicants for one spot) Also, if in a larger city, see when the next hiring exam is taking place. If you see one, jump on it,sometimes there is 5-10 years in between test. Keep in mind almost all services require at least an EMT-b license and many are moving towards having the entire service be ALS(advanced life support).

no offense but :whocares: Does this have any implications in real life?

Anyway, I got back from work and Im pretty tired even though I've been sitting during most of the time. I made my first discovery yesterday and I'm pretty thrilled :ooo: My neuronal markers didn't work but I made a discovery nonetheless.

Still haven't managed to buy weed. How do you find a dealer when you dont really know anyone in town?
