What I want to do is create a shortcut for the Auto-Select feature. When you use the move tool, the default pointer thing, and below the menu's there is a bar that gives you features for whatever tool you are using, and for the pointer(move tool) there is the Auto-Select box with the options for Layer/Group, I want to create a shortcut to turn that on, and in the shortcut preferences I cant locate this section? I'm wondering if anyone knows what I am talking about and where that might be. I use a wacom intuos4 and I create custom preferences for what I'm doing, and I want to use a button for this feature. thanks

I am not sure what exactly you mean, but you can select all in a layer by just holding ctrl and clicking layer image.

maybe the shortcut you're looking for is between these? http://html.megalink.com/artist/photoshopwindows.html
if not, I think photoshop should be smart enough to let you set custom ones, GIMP can do it so I can't see why photoshop shouldn't

I think holding CTRL will do what you want. I've never used a wacom, though. Can you define the on-tablet buttons to toggle CTRL/Shift/etc?

yeah exactly, it has a radial menu that comes up on the screen like a HUD that you can predefine shortcuts and what not, but what I want to make a shortcut for is the auto-select (layer) option, if you click on the point, and then look under the menu at the bar that shows options for whatever tool you are using, youll see an option for Auto-Select, by default it is shut off, but yeah I want to shortcut that, but if you dont know what I'm talking bout chances are you dont know where it is located in the shortcuts menu. thanks tho

What I was saying was that holding down control while using the move tool is the same as temporarily selecting the "Auto Select" option. Now if you want to define a tablet only solution for that, then I don't really know how or why.
