well..

actually, somewhat TRUE.


I did an experiment, I made a plate with a portion of food I knew I couldn't possibly finish. I ate about 4/5ths of it, then left the rest. my stomach being full, I couldn't eat another bite. so I went out and smoked a few bowls.


I come back inside, and now am blasted. Before going to smoke, I figured I'd come back hungry and finish the rest. this wasn't the case, I was already full and couldn't eat anymore. well, 20 minutes later, I start getting the munchies, so I go to the kitchen and decide I want to eat more, but before I can take another bite, I realize that I am full and can not anymore.


so it is TRUE, of course that psychologically it gives you the munchies. no one would deny this, as everyone who has smoked ever can confirm this.


BUT, it is not true, that it gives you a physical appetite, only a mental one.


So CONFIRMED, but at the same time, BUSTED

Tolerance to THC is a major factor

0 tolerance = complete pantry/fridge raids - leave no survivors

tolerance = more control, but raid one or the other

i find that if i'm hungry in the morning and smoke a bowl the hunger goes away for a while but then when i start sobering up i nomnomnom!

IME, weed makes me physically hungry. When I'm sober I have a pretty small appetite and get full quickly. Whenever I'm high my appetite goes through the roof and I can eat as much as I can make.

I tried the same experiment where you start to eat and when you get full you go and smoke and come back to finish eating. I was able to come back after I was full (20min to a half hour later) and was able to not only finish the plate but have a second helping.

That's when I find the hunger hits.. when you start sobering up! Right after toking, I don't want to eat.

If I dont eat and smoke I get HORRIBLE munchors but If I get full before I smoke I dont get teh munchies.

The problem with your experiment is that you ate the food before getting high. A better way of doing it would be to eat as much as possible while sober, then the next day do the same thing but get super ripped first. If you're already full, then smoke...well you're already full.
Also the feeling of being hungry is ALL in your brain :facepalm:

I find I eat about the same amount of food, high or sober :shrug:
