Idea to lessen world hunger

I was thinking the other day. Nothing in particular was really focused on, but an idea came to mind.

People are starving every day. Richer nations send them food, but it is never enough.

Meanwhile we waste massive amounts of food each day sheltering homeless animals. These animals are eating all of our food, and all they do is sit in a cage all day and eventually get euthanized.

What if instead of them being a food sink, we put all of these homeless pets to use. I figure that if the cats and dogs were butchered, they would not only provide a large source of meat that could be given to the starving, they would also not be consuming food that could be better used elsewhere.

Just a thought.

World hunger won't be ended until we stop polluting our arable ground and start thinking in terms of how can we grow enough food for the planet instead of how can I make the most money off my farm?

All the charity is part of the problem, either fix everything or don't bother fixing one little thing so you can feel better. If we give them free food is that honestly going to do anything for them in the long run? They need better more respectable jobs, education, tons of livestock and governments that give a shit about them.

Sure some bellies would be filled if we sent them our pets to eat but that's. Not. Doing. Shit. In the long run.

we send shipments of grains to african countries via the UN, what's not
confiscated by the governments of many of these nations because the UN is run
by a bunch of dumbasses that dont bother getting permits and permissions, is
eaten by the people receiving it as opposed to being planted as was intended

the way I see it. if I give you the means to feed your people and you let
your people dispose of the means in the fastest way possible that will show
no return, fuck your people, let them starve, they were too stupid to live
anyway... maybe they should move out of the deserts and stop over breeding

That's exactly how you cure world hunger, only you've got to think of money in terms of amount of food being produced and go teach them how to do it. Until we have a world government (I'm talking real-life things here, not conspiracy bullshit) of some sorts nobody will try to grow food just to give to other nations, why don't you go to work for your neighbor or the homeless dude on the street, same thing.

You don't solve world hunger by feeding people in poverty, but by getting the corporations out of their lives that are forcing them out of self-sustainability.

chain of super centers they could blame those big corporations for the

Hunger is much more about distribution networks than it is about production-
you could feed the entire world with the calories produced in Texas, if there was a way to move them around.

Take modern intensive farming to a global level and you could easily feed 25 or 30 billion people.
