Steelers vs Packers * 1

Wow this is the best SuperBowl matchup we could ask for with the final 4.


Green Bay, when healthy, CLEARLY is the best team in the NFC.  They absolutely dominated not only two worthy playoff teams in the Falcons and Bears, they also hold dominating win against strong teams, like shutting out the Jets.




The Steelers, best defense in the league, best defense of the decade. 



But Aaron Rodgers is arguably the best QB in the league.  He's had the 2nd highest rating in the league.




This is the toughest matchup the Steelers have had to face in the Super Bowl for this decade, no doubt.  Green Bay is very well rounded.


It's also a homecoming for Dom Capers, who was also a long time Defensive Coordinator for Pittsburgh after Dick Lebeau's initial leave.

Matthews vs Harrison

Woodson vs Polamalu

Raji vs Hampton

I like Rodgers and GB.  I think if GB can establish a run game against the Steelers--which is obviously going to be tough--they can pull it off.

I also like the Steelers, but I'll be rooting for GB.

I love the Packers but I'm scared of the Steelers' defense. I have absolutely no idea who will win, but I'll be rooting for the Packers and I'm sure I'll be entertained no matter what.

This game will be who lasts the longest. 

GB is a great team, but they won't be able to run the ball.  GB's D wont hold up the entire game, especially if the Steelers run the ball up the gut more than they did against the Jets.  Steelers take an early lead, and hold on to it after the half.  GB makes it close at the end with the passing game(because that's what every team that faces the Steelers does at the end).

The Steelers dominated the Jets with thier run game. It should be a really good game if you can remember last years game between Steelers vs Packers, Steelers won 37-36 with an amazing end zone catch by Mike Wallace, think Superbowl 43.

fortunately Pola's recovered a good amount from his injury.


The situation at O line is more dire, for several reasons.

Firstly, Pouncey is the best lineman they have, by a large margin. 

Secondly, the Steelers are down to just 1 more backup, who usually plays fullback during goal line plays, Doug Legursky.  Although he's done a decent job when he's been called upon.


Pittsburgh has about, 2 original starters left, Chris Kemueatu, Flozell Adams, and Adams is also playing hurt.



Also, Green Bay's D line is easily one of the biggest, and strongest. 


Fucking BJ Raji, Ryan Pickett, and Greene are all easily above 350 lbs, shit they make Cullen Jenkins look small.

I think this is the year that Green Bay wins it all, icing on the cake for Brett Favre's retirement. Despite all the negative publicity and drama, they did the right thing with Rodgers. Signed him out of Cal then he got to sit, watch, study, and learn Brett Farve and how an NFL locker room is. Then after 3-4 years of waiting and learning and he was ready. And he is one of the elite QB's in the league. top 5, maybe not. but top 10 certainly

To the game. I think  Packers defense can shut down Mendenhall and I think Green Bay has too many offensive targets to get the get shutdown by the Steeler's defense. I say it every week, "it's going to be a great game." but this one has special all over it

I guess it comes down to me trust Rodgers more than Big Ben and I dont think Pitts D will bail the offense out this game
