Ravens vs Chiefs

Who's going to win and why?

The smart part of me says Baltimore wins because of their obvious defensive advantage. The dreamer in me wants to see Jamaal Charles go for 150+ 2td's and a Chiefs win.

I can dream can't I :shrug:

It is not even a little bit outrageous to think the Chiefs can and will win the game. The Ravens defense is living large off of their past. Their defense has looked good at times and bad at times. In overall defense they finished 10th which is hardly impressive. Besies that they are old and offensively inept. They had trouble last week beating the Bengals despite turning them over five times last week. They sit there a very beatable team.

The Chiefs have the advantage from a coaching standpoint with some of the best minds in the game. They have a quarterback who though has not played consistently great over the course of the season is a smart guy who spent years behind Tom Brady and Bill Bellicheck. They have a very strong running game and one of the best homefield advantages in all of sports.

I really like their chances and expect them to win.

I think you make really good points. I think it's going to ultimately come down to whether or not Cassel can keep from turning the ball over. I also worry that Haley may try to outsmart the Ravens too much rather than just stick to what has worked for them all season.

I agree Baltimore's D is old and largely living off of their past. All it takes is one game though and they certainly have the talent to shut anyone down

balt dominated as expected. chiefs just couldnt handle the balt defense.. way to many turnovers

Haley and Weiss are the answer to this question. I haven't watched every Chief game this year but everyone I watched that they had troubles in was because Haley and Weiss tried too much trickery and refused to just play with their strengths. That stupid ass attempted pitch play on 4th & 1 was really where the game began to change. I don't understand why you wouldn't choose a running play going straight away, not to the sidelines. At least we get to watch Baltimore and Pittsburgh beat the everliving shit out of eachother.

Edit: #47 on Defense is fucking AWFUL too, that was a huge problem on D all day long
