Which horror movies actually freacked you out?

For me:

Scream 1, I was 12...was scared shitless

The Ring: that scene where she walks out of the TV and teleports closer (I was front row in the theatre) Scared shitless

Paranormal Activities: Saw them both when I was 24 (im now 25) Both movies made me lose like 3 nights of sleep

The grudge... ugh...

The sixth sense when i was like 10 scared the hell outta me.

Also the ring 1 scared the shot outta me when i was like 14. I threw a towel over ny tv when i went to sleep haha.

I havent seen a good scary movie in a while

Seriously? The Grudge? How can anyone take that piece of shit ring-clone seriously if they've seen the ring first? Their "scary faces" in the grudge look like fucking anorexic smurf children... it's not scary at all...

I don't know if it's considered a horror film, but the only "scary" movie that's actually gotten to me that I can recall was "The Orphanage."

The first time I saw the ring it scared the shit outta me. Paranormal activity made me lose sleep off and on for a week after seeing it lol.:facepalm:

The Exorcist(old one) scared me to death too.
Also Jaws and Faces of  Death left me very distressed.

Um...John Carpenters "The Thing" is pretty freaky.



Also, Stephen Kings "It" movie about the clown. I remember that movie really got to me, when I was little. :laugh:

Poltergeist and Gremlins both gave me some rough nights as a kid. I actually got to see Gremlins in the theater when I was about 7 or 8. It could of been the someone died in my room before we moved into this new creepy fucking house thing too. Why did I have to listen in on that conversation.

The newer remake of "The Shining" got me pretty good.Lots of people think it sucked because it was a remake, but it was a lot more true to the book from what I've heard. The original never really scared me, although it was one of Jack's great performances.

but i did watch Shutter island last weekend on 3 hits of acid...


that was trippy.  mostly the idea that he thought he was sane, when he was actually bonkers.  Deff gave me a weird vibe.

The movie is trippier the more times you see it.

Haha seriously? I just don't understand how those movies scared anybody, especially not so bad that you lost any sleep. I was really disappointed with Paranormal Activity since lots of folks said it was scary.

The only horror movie that's gotten to me was Eraserhead. I felt psychologically damaged for a few hours after that. Watch it in total darkness as high as possible. :thumbup:

I never believed in horror movies, even as a kid I just didnt buy it. The shit that was supposedly based on true stories, though. Amityville fucked with me. The only bullshit film that freaked me out was the first time I did acid. It was my 15th birthday and my best friend spent the night. We both dropped two hits and watched some movie, cant rememer what it was called. At one point in the movie they showed a goat with 6 eyes and me and him flipped the fuck out. We both wanted the tv off but neither of us would go near the tv :facepalm:
