The FDA are hopeless. Have you heard the story about Aspartame?? the company completely fabricated and forged documents and the FDA accepted and approved it. Even when they found out it was forged and fraudulent they didnt revoke the licence and it took ages for the substance to actually be banned from being used as an artificial sweetener.

curious mouse - i wish you all the best.

Ever heard of Monsanto?

Learning about them is what really soured me towards the FDA. I don't trust them whatsoever.

It's a myth that aspartame is dangerous. Don't talk about stuff you only know based on word of mouth. If you were running a profitable company and were facing months or years without being able to turn a profit you might forge some documents, too.

Lots of studies have been done, no legitimate correlation was found. It was banned for a while (remember how it used to only be known as nutra-sweet) and then later cleared with nemuerous studies involving hundreds of thousands of individuals.

"The story about aspartame" is that people like to gossip and hear-tell word of mouth stories without evidence, so ideas like these persist. It wouldn't be so bad if it hadn't been lent false credibility by our government, which is run by idiodic fools with no credentials.

Here's the real reason you should hate the FDA.

And their basis for recomending medications is based on studies that say "on average most patients responded positively".

Which would almost be fine if they were using real science and not manipulating statistics to their benefit. If a certain person isn't fitting the testing study's goals, they will remove their data from the study. That is why none of these side-effects were documented beforehand. The FDA allows the pharmaceutical companies to basically run their own studies and police themselves. And no one listens to "crazy" people, so....

What is a positive response? Complacency over wanderlust? Is it a positive result if the desired effect is achieved through the destruction of a person's personality?

I didn't hear it through word of mouth - i watched a documentary on it that presented its arguements in a factual manner. it proved that the documents were fraudulent and that aspartame had detrimental effects on the brain (i cant remember the specifics) but they showed that it was bad stuff.

I'm not taking the Abilify for depression.

I've only been on it one day, and I already don't like it however.

Though, I do choose this over Zyprexa in a loooooong shot.

I'm not longer starving all day long, I could eat and eat and eat on zyprexa, and I'd feel sooooo hungry.

BUT.

I can't sleep now. It makes me feel VERY disconnected, and woozy, almost like I'm drunk. Very drunk. and it's not working.

Fuck abilify. I'll change it in three weeks.

Oh to the dude who just got put on Klonopin.. It's soooo amazing. It made me depressed, but as a recreational thing here and there.. Sweet bliss.
