how do you pronounce "yea" in your head when you read it?

do you pronounce it yeah, or yay?

because it's totally pronounced yay.  like "hear ye! hear ye!  say ye yea or nay to the proposal put forth?"

it kinda kills me when people spell yeah like yea.  or pronounce yea like yeah.  i know it's such a minuscule difference, but i can't help it.  it fucking kills me.  it makes something deep inside of me contort into an unnatural position, threatening to snap.

be honest kids.  how do you pronounce yea?  were you even aware of its proper contextual use and spelling?

In context, I recognize it as medieval speak.

However, there is also a sort of slang "yea" which I would describe as being an "incomple-feeling yeah" where there's no emphasis of follow through on the H sound, which seems to give the distinct impression of disinterest in what the other person is saying, as if it somehow becomes sarcastic without the H emphasis follow-through.

I know that's not what you were talking about, but it's something weird I've noticed...

Oh!  I just remembered that back in high school I had a friend who said "ya"  a lot.  (kinda like the stereotypical russian accent, except it was ya instead of da)
but in his text, he would type in yea.
