Foods not bad, and no, I'm no recruiter, quite the opposite, I did not enjoy my enlistment. No tree huggin hippie, but I firmly believe if you're not 100% sure going into it, as soon as you step off the bus you'll know 2 things immediately. 1-you made a HUGE mistake 2-it's too late. As for recruiters, when I got home, I went to "visit" the recruiter that promised me the world to enlist. 1 my car pulled up 2 he ran up and locked the door 3 his car peeled out from behind the building and of course 4, he never came back...no really, according to the marines recruiter he put in for an emergency transfer that night and never returned for his things. recruiters are worse then used car salesmen (no offense intended to any car salesmen/women here)

If you join the military while in emotional turmoil, you are making the wrong decision. Even if you will/would make the same decision once you get through that hard time in your life.
It's something that should be well thought out, decided, knowing that your life is going this direction and there is NO turning back. My brother juggled a family for 22 yrs in the army, just retired. Having a hell of a time finding civilian job. did 3 "tours" to saudi, 3x to Iraq, and 2x in Afganistan AKA DirkaDirkastan. He's lost all of his hearing, and has ptsd from cleaning out the tanks that were bombed, then sat there in the heat for a weak while the bodies inside rotted, his crew would bring back the tanks (sometimes get bombed and die in the process) and he (warrant officer) and his crew would have to take out the corpses, often friends, scrub their rotting flesh and brains from inside the vehicles, fix up the tanks to go back out, and be bombed again, process repeats.
He's literally had to wash his friends rotting brains from his hands.
OP, try to go to bed with this every night for the rest of your life, and someday try to explain how glorious your military career was to your child. Is this what you are willing accept to do with your life?
#15 still thinkin I'm trying to recruit?
