Seriously. Funny that the suicide thread went so far.

I wanna try them all haha.

Down a bottle of sleeping pills/tylenol/opiates/benzos, balance standing on a spear with a noose around my neck, and shoot myself in the head. I will get shot in the head, hung, speared, and go into a coma from the pharma-emo overdose.

People only survive when they try one way :shrug:

A friend of mine always said that. People who "try" to commit suicide are just asking for attention.

He said if he ever wanted to do it, he'd:

OD on some ridiculous drug. Jump from a tree with a noose around his neck and shoot himself in the face as he was jumping and have "This was not an attempt" written on his stomach.

Mind you, he would never do such a thing, but I appreciate his comedic element.

maybe if you were old and spent most of your life with this lover, and it was all you had and took care of each other. killing yourself rather than wasting away in a nursing home when they die seems acceptable. almost any other circumstance killing yourself in the name of love or for any woman seems ridiculous.

Suicide probably wastes a lot of money and time for police, ambulances, doctors, etc, when they need to be doing other things and not dealing with some dumb 15 year old girl that tried to swallow a bottle of tylenol or something stupid like they always do.  Thats the only reason I can think of for making it illegal.

Yeah, but what you describe is not suicide. Hanging yourself is suicide.  Spooning down a bottle of lye is suicide. Trying to fist fuck a tiger is suicide. Shooting yourself in the temple with at least .3 caliber ammunition is suicide.  Going out and having endless sex with random people until you get HIV is suicide. Smoking cigarettes is suicide. Driving a vehicle is suicide. Eating shitty is suicide.

Guzzling down a bottle of pills is not suicide. I downed a bottle of .5 vicodins with a 12er of natural ice and several big chugs from a bottle of canadian mist whiskey and that was not even suicide.

I am not talking about the emo alternative.

Plus, unless they are made of ricin. They are probably not good pills.

ER procedures like stomach pumping and resuscitation cost money.  Ambulance rides cost around $500 on average.  If they don't have health care the hospital usually ends up paying it.  Even if we pretended ambulances ran on fairy dust, and doctors and EMT's were paid in happy feelings, just the fact that it gives them more work to do is enough to make it illegal. 

Obviously it doesn't matter if they kill themselves successfully but if they fail I think its right (and funny) to punish them for it.  I just see suicide as a bitch move for people who can't fix their own problems so they take the easy way out and leave the burden on their family.
