I have an extra copy of Windows XP Pro, Corporate Edition, no serial key is required with this version.

I also have versions of Windows 7 with a working key.

Found a crack for the home version. So far works like a charm... although I did have to get a separate crack for Windows Media Player.

And it looks like it will work for just about any version.

I dl'd the best version of XP ever. XP SP3 corporate version, installed like a charm, didn't ask for any credentials at all. Sad thing is I've got a legit copy of Windows 7 I bought but couldn't install it because my old laptop is so underpowered I don't think it could take anything post-xp.

They should sell a stripped down version of xp (minus all the media stuff) for 10 bucks or something.

Ugh. I guess the file I used had some kind of virus/malware after all. When I type search terms into the address bar, instead of showing google search results, it goes to some random noisearch.com.

Okay dude, okay. I will keep that link as a backup plan. But I already have a ton of crap installed on this one. I had to try a ton of random drivers for my old laptop and I am not sure which were the ones that finally made it work. Plus other stuff. The Windows XP that came with my system was shitty and slow, but this one is fast and works great for some reason.

if its a dell pc, then no, no serial needed.

Every pc that comes pre-installed with XP has a licence code sticker thats never been registered. I just randomly use ones off PC's in work and Ive used the same ones a few times. The security is non-existant really.
