My sister was beat up by her boyfriend. I don't know what to do.

I wake up today to my sister at my house all black and blue and torn up.  I've only been around her boyfriend a few times mainly recently.  I never approved of him but I gave my sister my blessing and I tried to be cool with the guy.

Now he beat my sister up.  The specifics of the situations are fairly bad.

I turned over a new leaf almost a year ago.

I want to kill this piece of shit.

I've got mono and an enlarged spleen, and I still wanna kill the fuck.

I've yet to hear from any of the other men in the family as I'm the youngest.

I just don't know what to do in this situation.  I know what I want to do.

Either way, I can't just let it stand.  I don't want that punk ass to think he can get away with putting his hands on my sister.  My mom thinks it's about revenge, and not even - I want to remain calm and try to let it pass, but I think I would hate myself more down the road for having not done anything, then going out and kicking his teeth in and facing some charges.

I've been in a situation similar to this (not involving actual family though) and I had the mother fuckers eye sockets swollen like baseballs

Do what you have to do and never speak about it again.

My friends ex got beaten up so bad her eye was swollen shut. Her younger brother drove a full size pickup through the front of the assholes house and beat him down with a stick.

Both went to jail. I'd suggest a little more subtlety

by all means find this guy and have an adult chat with him when you come to the conclusion he just doesn't get what he did was wrong
punch him in the eye and tell him this will not stand ! you will not do this again !

but if this guy is one of those kind of guys its going to take you and your sisters help to get rid of said asshole
if shes not wanting to back u up and she apparently doesn't see it a problem shes got more issues then me

Look man, the universe has a funny way of working itself out. Don't cause any harm to yourself, or any further harm to your family by you going to jail or potentially getting hurt by that jackass.

Just let that yang find it's ying and the satisfaction will be greater than kicking his ass.

Yep--steal the pickup, and wear a ski mask. That should be subtle enough.

So you're saying no action at all is a better choice than calling the cops and reporting his ass for assault?

A call to the cops and pictures of the damage are the bare minimum actions, imho.

Right now I'm waiting for my uncle and mom's boyfriend to get off from work.

I know neither of them could be much happier about this then I am.

I don't even care if I rupture my spleen beating this guy to a fucking pulp, as long as I don't get cuffed to my hospital bed.

While I know that this guy knows where I grow.  It could potentially really throw a wrench in my engine as I've been off the police's radar for a long time, and I have priors.

The last thing I want to do is let this fucker think he's gotten away with anything.

See, I did change.  Psychedelics have brought me much closer to being a non-violent person, and I haven't been in a fight in many months and I try really hard to keep it that way.  I didn't ask for this, I didn't egg anyone on, I just woke up to my sister a black and blue heap, she's scared because she's got no cash (invested all in that guy and his bullshit), she's got two bloodhounds (one of which she actually had to buy out of the pound this morning), and a 8 year old son.

I know that my sister called my grandmother and there was an actual voicemail recording 10 minutes to 6am this morning, of my sister screaming for help while her boyfriend beat her to the ground while yelling at her.  I figure this made it's way to my uncle, who works with my mothers boyfriend.

So I'm waiting for the said adults to get done before I do anything rash.. but I'm not a kid anymore.

9 times out 10, I would walk away from any bad situation regardless of the blow to my ego, or insult to my face.

But she's my sister.  My only sibling.

I just don't want to make things worse for her.

How can you ever know what to do in these situations?

Because, I'll kill a motherfucker.

Hmmm. maybe this will sound a bit tom-boyish, but fuck it, I am how I am.

I say SHE shoud beat the fuck out of him! Give her a bat and tag along just to make sure she doesnt end up getting hurt again, then let her beat his balls until they burst. . .


ANYWAY - That was just my first reaction to reading that, sorry, please DONT do that, dont get in trouble. Really I suggest you take pics and call the cops on him, dont lower yourself to his level, but make sure he gets what he deserves.

remember you don't want to make it worse for her by getting beat up AND having her brother get into legal trouble (or rupture his spleen). Definitly take pictures and have her get to the hospital so a doctor can document it asap.

Have your sister take pictures of her bruises and/or wounds, that way she'll have documented evidence to help her build a case against this guy later. Then she needs to call the cops, file a police report, press charges, and go see a doctor.

The police will find the guy, talk to him, and then arrest him. His ass will go to jail and the DA will bring a case up against him.

Beating this guy up yourself will only make matters worse. And there's a chance he'll call the cops on you and YOU will end up in jail.

Psychedelics have de-violenced me to a large degree as well, but just reading the title of this post gets my blood boiling. 

Once the cops are involved and you decide to do anything you and your family will be very obvious suspects.  Police work isn't rocket science.  So, I would say make your choice.  Handle it yourself or defer to the cops.  If you do the latter just stay away from dude.  However, if he still tries to come near your sister and you happen to be there with a baseball bat, well in my book that's justified.
