i wouldn't go as far as to say downtown is filled with fresh human shit laying around.

it might smell like it, but you don't see it. I think austins
homeless are worse if only cause of their persistence.

nice point, the last time i was in Austin i was eight and visiting the capitol

i heard there's a shit load of kick ass places for music and it was easier to get psychedelic up there than down here

I lived in SA for a couple of years its a pretty nice city.....as others have said pretty laid back for a Texas city anyway. Like many people have said already Austin is a much cooler city in a lot of ways...lived there for a couple of years as well. In my opinion Austin and Dallas are probably the best cities Texas has to offer.

My girl said the same. Unless you are rich, its all the same. We will get her folks house there whenever they move. They are on the edge of Bexar county, near Judson school district. I figured if i was 50 or so, i may like being there. Not working though, fuck all that traffic.

But cheap drugs, cheap weed and retirement fun sounds good!

I grew up in the alamo heights area. Fucking full of elitists, but a nice area. close to downtown

Yeah in Austin you can play/see a gig every night in a month never be in the same club twice. The local music scene in wild, everyone knows somebody in a band and if you don't you're a mighty rare breed in Austin.
