no, these people do not project a certain charisma, not to me. i've seen and known enough that it's something i pick up on within 5 minutes of meeting someone, whether or not they're the sort of person who's going to blow a lot of smoke up my ass, whether they're the type of person i could expect to try and manipulate people to their advantage.
they're not good people to be around. they don't have charisma, all they have is other people's innate unwillingness to believe that somebody could actually lie so much and so callously and for so little reason. people are loathe to point to an ostensibly friendly face and tell them they're spewing shit, but i assure you these people we're talking about? They don't have charisma. Every single one of their relationships, friendship or romantic, business associates, acquaintances? eventually, EVERY SINGLE ONE of those people will figure things out and realize that Billy is actually just an asshole not even worth hating, a liar with so little value as a person it's best to pretend he never even existed in the first place. And why not? Everything he ever said was a lie, why not his existence as well?
Oh, and the pathological liar / sociopath in your ganster movie? Actually is probably neither. Maybe a sociopath, but not a pathological liar.
