The Beatles REMASTERED (2009) = OMFG!!!!

I tripped Saturday night and listened to the remastered Beatles...

Let me yell ya... The difference is equivalent to the difference between hearing the original straight and hearing it tripping.

It's SO DAMN CLEAN and ACCURATE!  The bass is totally AMAZING!! Mind-blowing what technology can do!

I didn't even know there was a remaster, so I at least appreciate the heads-up.



Other worthwhile remasters (that I know of, at least):

Piper at the Gates of Dawn (i would have done a few thangs differently if I were behind it, but it's still good to have a clearer version of it)

The Doors 40th anniversary remasters (there have been several doors remasterings, this one is definitely the best of them imo)

Acid Bath - When the Kite String Pops remastered

First of all, I don't listen to very much early (mono original) stuff and second, I have an awesome computer, receiver and headphones and guess what? TWO GOOD EARS!

Mono is SO YESTERDAY. It's 2010, XM, not AM!

What's the appeal of mono? :puke:

I dunno, but there are tons and tons of people with setups that are probably better than yours that like the mono versions better.

I never said one was better than the other.
Don't act like it's impossible for mono to be better than stereo. Shit you're not even willing to try. I think it says a lot that George Martin prefers mono to stereo.

Don't pretend they didn't have outstanding audio equipment in the 60s either.

I have indeed heard mono music through headphones while tripping, for about 20 seconds. That was long enough. It sucks.
