Even if he were dead, they would keep him alive in the media so there will still be reason () to keep troops over there. $$$

That is what the idea is, i think.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osama_bin_laden#Reports_of_his_death
That basically says there are a number of people saying he died. it goes on to say that the idea that he's running around in caves with a dialysis machine, sterile environments, doctors, etc is pretty far fetched.
Also Donny R is lulz ""We have heard neither hide nor hair of him since, oh, about December in terms of anything hard....We are pretty sure he is either alive or dead.""

There was an interesting article recently about Osama. It talked about how he may have died years ago but our Governments remain to use him to their full advantage. With him supposedly still out there, we have enough reason to be in places like Afghanistan and Pakistan fighting the so called "war on terror".
Who knows..

Well you have to think, even if this guy is dead tehn there is someone who took his place. Its not like the guy died and the entire Taliban has followed. If you ask my two cents then I would say that he is dead and there is a new leader in position. I say this because as of late the Taliban has published a very structured outline of how they will operate as a "organized" unit now. If you read some of this work it is not too far removed from the American or NATO Rules of Engagements, and operating structures. Also they are trying with all their might to get these publications sanctioned by NATO as well. Now heres what is Interesting. Barring the fact that there is some rediculous miscue on their behalf, the UN is supposed to recognise all countries trying to become sanctioned, and give them fair trial and a impartial chance to join and be recognised as an organized Govt. I see this as a shift in perspective from Osamas hide and seek tactics. And this is why Ifeel that he is either dead, or no longer in power. But,to say that he is dead and the threat is gone, well we just cant afford to think like that, but I dont think anyone here has claimed that we do that so maybee Im jsut too fired up.

It made tons of sense, it was just totally lame; Batman & Robin live in a cave, don't they?
Osama has lived in caves (e.g.- Tora Bora), hasn't he?

i get that they both live in caves i just dont think the joke was warranted. Plus i highly doubt that batman & robin would stand for that.
