Favorite Horror Movies

Since it's Halloween and all.

I'm not a huge fan of the genre but I really enjoyed Session 9.  That movie was just flat out creepy.  It's a great psychological horror film.

FYI, what makes this move really great is that they really filmed at an abondoned Mental Institution: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danvers_State_Hospital

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

The Shining is a good one.

Can you really say the Evil Dead series are really horror films?

They're very fun and campy like Dead Alive.

for anyone interested, here's the stream of 1408 i'm going to watch.  it's pretty decent quality.  and it seems like loading speeds are alright.  a little bit slow maybe, but the quality is there and there's no time limit like megavideo.

The first one for sure is a horror flick, last 2 were more like dark comedy's with a horror twist.

if you liked dead alive check out the peter jackson flick  Braindead
