So...ive got this idea im wonderin if there are already any....a rain room/suit

ud think something like this would have already been invented.  if not...i wonder if im on to something. 
so i came up with the idea because of a number of reasons ive concluded
ive been without a vehicle for a good part of all the time ive been driving. 
not such a big deal, unless the weather sux.
i still love me some rain but, it can be shitty in alot of ways.
i feel if i had one of these rain realy wouldnt be such a bad deal.
so, i do alot of hangin out outside.  ive got some sick speakers and i like to bump tunes alot.  cant do that when its raining tho. 
i like to go out and have smoke sessions in whatever weather.  not so easy in the rain also.
a rainsuit only does so much.  only protects ur body
imagine a lightweight frame of sorts that you can like put on as kinda a backpack that extends up, and out in front, sides and back of you.  draped with clear plastic.  proly need a hole cut out around ur face area. 
personaly i think it would be so sick, to like be able to walk around in the rain or snow in a small room kinda.
think about how much easier it would be to roll one up.  as well as smoke.  and as far as electronics, no worries about that anymore either.
ive been looking online, but i cant seem to find any so im guesing there arent any.
i figure it would be easy enough to make tho. 
if i cant find em anywhere i think ima take a stab at it. 
i gather all i would need is an external frame backpack to start.  and extend some pvc or aluminum poles up and out.  itd be awkard as hell but worth it just the same i think.  then i could go out in blizzards and downpours and be unscathed.  just walkin around chilin in my lil plastic room.:awesome:
anyone by chance ever seen anything of the like?  and either way what do ya think about it?

Umbrella?

Seriously though, it's a decent idea. If one could construct something you could wear on your back that was really lightweight.
The frame would have to be made of something strong but really lightweight.. PVC might be a little much.
Although chances are probably someone has already invented something similar.

yea, i dont know what i wasnt thinking
pretty much an umbrella that comes down all around u.  now that i think of it....im pretty sure ive seen em.
and would just as well be easy to make with some plastic.
however, i would want one that you didnt have to hold yourself.  but im sure that would be easy enough as you could just attach it to a backpack or something.
off to the lab!
....if i dont find it on google first.  lol

I've also had this exact idea.

Problems I think are that strong wind could be hard for a lightweight suit to be ok in and as a commercial product I don't think many people would buy them because they would look terrible.

That's easy enough, just add some flashy racing stripes and jack the price up 300%, call it super deluxe eco friendly model, people will eat it up.

i hear ya...im not even thinkin about makin money.  like i said...id just as well make my own homemade one to use myself.  it would be nice to get rich, but i could see myself makin one and thats it
i was also wondering about the wind factor.
im sure someones tried also.
i was thinkin if u had like a waist harness of sorts that kinda supports it to your waist as well as shoulder area it might even it out make it a lil more sturdy?
just as well tho....if that couldnt be accomplished efficiently....maybe just not wear it in heavy winds.  but sometimes it rains plenty without little to no wind so
