Just don't expect a magical quick-fix, you'll still have to work it out in your mind- but chances are that under the influence of mdma youll have a clearer view of the importance to get over this mental obstacle.

At the same time, you said you're a semi drug addicted individual who also dabbles with alcohol. You're now willing to expose your addictive personality to a whole new set of variables?

Ecstasy is one thing but molly can be entirely different.
I did ecstasy over a year ago, and I've yet to have an experience that was as heart-warming and empathetic as when I rolled. I'm not saying that the last year has been bad in any way, because it hasn't. It's just that ecstasy raised the roof as far as what I know about 'feeling good'. Be careful with it.

You've probably already seen this. It's about how MDMA worked for people in the exact same situation you're in.

how about you take a real step towards healing and just just tell your parents or equivelent that you were abused and you've turned to drink and drugs and its just fucking you up more and ask them to help.

Drugs are great for soul searching and distracting you temporarilly but you arent actually sorting anything out.

So stand the fuck up right now, go out to the street and scream " I was fucking raped" at the top of your lungs so the world can hear it.

Now its out you can only move forward rather then digging the hole deeper as you are now.

actually mdma has been used quite successfully in dealing with these situations.

You don't suffer from a dissociative disorder do you?

I only ask because I'm a product of childhood abuse (not sexual) and I have depersonalization disorder.  MDMA can made dissociative disorders worse, so if you have one, I'd recommend against rolling.

I recommend lots of pillows, blankets and some candles as well as a close and trusted friend to whom you can speak to about what's on your heart.  Talking to another human being while rolling can be incredibly therapeutic.

You should try to spend time with your family, if at all possible.
Good luck & keep us posted.

I hope it helps you but I don't see how focusing on memories of a terrible event while feeling amazing can help. Maybe you just need to know that it is possible to feel awesome despite what happened?

If you have real MDMA the first video summed up the experience pretty well. You will mentally and physically feel WAY better than you have at any other point in your life. Just be careful because the next day after you come down you might feel more depressed than before.

Watch out for day 3-4 after you dose. That's when a lot of people tend to get depressed. But since it's your first time taking MDMA, it probably won't be an issue at all.

I hope you enjoy it.

I also hope you understand that it will not be the MDMA that solves your problems. Rather, it will be your realization of the fact that you're living a life that needs to be fixed and your desire to actually fix it rather than covering shit up with chemicals.

The big thing about using MDMA to treat PTSD or other similar situations, is that in all the clinical studies done on it that end up praising it, there is someone who is trained in counseling there to talk with you about the issue, to help you focus on it, keep on task, bring the memories to the forefront.

Just you by yourself, you end up wandering through the happy forest of your MDMA influenced mind.

Probably wouldn't work as well solo or in a group.

Update: I ended up taking it around some friends. For some reason, at the last minute, I decided I didn't want to be alone for it.

Well, I think that may have been a big mistake. I kept trying to think about the issue, but it was incredibly difficult to pin down my mind onto any one topic, as all I could really think about was how incredibly fucking amazing I felt, and how my friends were there with me making it even more fantastic. I kept thinking about how much I love them and the bonds I have with them. When I tried to think about the incident, it would just get slammed into the back of my mind, and instead I would just think, or rather, feel, how amazing the current moment was and that I shouldn't (felt more like couldn't) think of anything bad or negative. I guess ultimately it freed me from my thoughts temporarily, but didn't really help resolve anything. Whether that was a result of being around several of my friends while taking it as opposed to solo dosing, I'm not sure.

In any case, I do not plan on taking MDMA again. Yeah it felt incredible, but I do worry a bit about neurotoxicity issues, and also I just couldn't help but feel towards the end of the "roll" that it was just way too forced. Rather than being able to delve into my mind as planned, I was shoved into a realm where everything was totally euphoric and well, ecstatic, and that, for the moment, problems didn't even seem to exist. Way too superficial for my likings. Not a total loss, as it did give me a small amount of insight into myself, plus a fun time with friends is never wasted, yet ultimately the whole thing was just a bit of a let down at the end.

As far as SWIM knows, she still has access to it, and could try it out solo if she felt the urge to do so, but at this point she doesn't see that ever happening.

Thank you to everybody who posted.

MDMA isn't very neurotoxic at all. Do your research on MDMA and you'll find out the reason why they consider MDMA neurotoxic is because often times people ABUSE MDMA and take it more than once a month, you should always wait at least two weeks and a month is even better

I've always spreaded out my MDMA doses and I have never experienced negative side effects

Just take MDMA 3-6 times a year and enjoy the experience; it's what MDMA is for, just living in the now.

Trust me when I say that it's better to not abuse MDMA, it's just not as good if you abuse it.
