Do i write my exgirl serving 5 in prison?

I just found out that an ex girlfriend of mine has been put up for a 5 year run, while i'm well over her and have been for a long time i do still think about her and up tell i moved away about 6 months ago would hang out with her and talk to her from time to time but since my move haven't spoken to her once. What do you think? should i write her? The last year of her life she turned into a MASSIVE crack head and has lost everybody that would write her so i'm sure if i did i'd be the only letter's she got during her stay.
Yet i'm not sure she would want to get letter's from me or even that i would know what to talk about.
Should i write her what do i say?
