Man your super lucky to find those your first time out ever!! Make sure you do take sporeprints and do your homework to NOT EVER mix your collections - don't be too eager and pick everything you see- learn to positively identify libs like the back of your hand - you got it made:headbanger: - You have some awesome specimens there:thumbup: - wishing you the best of luck!! Hope you post more pics of your finds:smile:

That is correct. Once you are familiar with the looks of Psilocybe semilanceata there isn't really any dangerous mushroom you could confuse them with. The only real "lookalike" is Psilocybe strictipes which is equally active.
Please post the ones you are suspicious about as well.

Damn!! - that lil one 3rd from left looks like a bluecap lib!!! Still seems kinda pointy - i wonder if its sporeless??

The others resemble p strictipes but also resemble some pan species too - the farthest one on the right seems to pos be a conocybe??- sporeprints tell the truth!!

Great F'n Finds:headbanger: Smart to keep possibilities off to the side - your other pic was super solid lib caps:thumbup:

The two middle ones are libs, the others are most likely inactive Panaeolus.

purple-brown ...........Black would indicate pan subbs or other pans - you want def purple ( then check for the seperable gelatinous pellicle) if these key on up you got stricipes!!! Keep on posting pics too:thumbup:

All Psilocybe species will have a purplish brown to purplish black spore print, but there'll definitely be a purple hue.
