Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland- Samples available
    #11237758 - 10/13/09 04:23 AM (14 years, 6 months ago)

So the samples are up on the main page of www.twistedmusic.com;  They play automatically when you visit the site.

The official release date is Nov. 2nd.You can pre-order the cd and the Shpongle live dvd which is also set to release on the 2nd of november.

I nearly shit myself when I went to the site tonight and heard the shpongle samples playing instead of the younger brother samples that have been playing.

I think I hear a hang drum in one of the tracks.Tell me what you think.

I havent checked in on Music, Art & Media for a while, just as i clicked the link now i was thinking, i hope theres some shpongle news

'Shonglese Spoken Here' i like the dub style, kinda like OTT but got that shpongle 'jenesequa'

'Nothing is Something Worth Doing' sounds oriental for some reason, like the sun rising over the china himalayas while sum dude farms rice, it does sound like a hangdrum possibly aswell, although more like a kettle drum (if thats the track your talking about)

'Ineffable Mysteries' just sounds like shpongle mania, love the chanting
gonna probly end up on my iTunes playlist entitled 'Trip Essentials'

'I Am You' Sounds great, hypnotic & soundscapy, really nice, the singing will have to grow on me i think...

'Invisible Man in a Fluorescent Suit' sounds haunting & electro, possibly very epic!

'No Turn Unstoned' Starts tribal, deep, grows into a song reminiscient of 'Once upon the sea...'

'Walking Backward Through The' just straight Shpongle!

'Cosmic Mirror' ???

Im not a HUGE fan of shpongle but they have a few tracks that i fell in love with, 'DMT' 'Once upon the sea of blissfull Awareness' 'Dorset perception' 'Around the world in a Tea Daze'

Its been a while since i listened to them but im gonna listen to them over the next few weeks until this new one drops, build the anticipation....i really enjoy the release of new albums by few certain artists, getting it as soon as it hits the net, im glad to be aware of this new album dropping as i havent had the privilege of paying attention to any previous Shpongle release dates....

Nice & chilled which is what i like! :psychsplit:

:peace:

Yes,"Nothing is Something Worth Doing" was the track I thought I heard a hang drum in.

Have you listened to Younger Brothers most recent album? It is called Last Days of Gravity.
I bring it up because you said "nice and chilled, which is what I like".

If you dont know,Younger Brother is Simon P. from Shpongle/Hallucinogen and Benji V. from Prometheus.

I already preordered the "Ineffable Mysteries From Shpongleland" as well as the Shpongle Live dvd.

I Have the Twisted dvd,so if The Shpongle Live dvd is anything close,it should be amazing.Seeing all those people it takes to do shpongle live,up on stage at once.Wow:crazy2:

I think the Indian guy should be wearing the Shpongle mask.

I haven't preordered it yet as I'll just wait until Saikosounds gets it in stock and do another big order with them.

As much as I hate to say this, I'm not really pumped for this album.  I'll definitely get it, but there has been so many damn good albums this year that I doubt I'll be blown away by it.

I will have to admit I am more excited for Younger Brothers next album.

Penguarky, can you suggest a few 2009 albums, psychedelic dub/chill? I spent most of the year without internet, roaming around honolulu looking for my next fix.I'm sorta out of the loop and do not know where to start.

I'm excited for the new album, I refuse to listen to any of the new songs until i can hear em all the way through.
I wanna dress up like shpongle on halloween. That'd be badass.

Shpongle is medicinal.

I had a raging headache and hearing some audio from Ineffable made it go away.

Waveform is selling it for $10!

I recently ordered it along with both Waveform Transmissions cds and the first Omnimotion album.

Plus, last month I found a copy of Abakus' That Much Close to the Sun, for 10 bucks at a Japanese shop.  It's going for $80 on discogs.

Friend Request sent.

Middleman, you're gonna love the album.  It's really good.  Lot more jazzy and funky.
