ex wife's boyfriend just got hired on as a cop in my city

this has me concerned for numerous reasons.  one of which, the boyfriend (who is mexican) told me to my face he is racist against whites and once hired on the force (he's already been hired for a couple months now) he will pull over whites only and let the mexican drunks/felons/whatever go free.  i have joint custody of my child so my kid spends half her time with me and half her time with the ex and boyfriend.  he keeps his police issued firearm under the couch cushion, loaded and ready to fire.  his temper is very bad and he breaks and throws tables and other things around the home when my kid is over there.  this seems to be a very dangerous environment for my kid to be around in my opinion.

i'm almost at a breaking point from the stress here.  if i go to report any of his activities to CPS or even his own department, i'll surely be ridiculed or harassed by him and his fellow officer cronies.  i don't want to bring heat upon myself in the situation, but i feel something needs to happen before he loses it and does something more drastic.  thoughts/comments welcomed.

Basically don't give him a reason to pull you over. If he does harass you then take the ticket to court and tell the judge your situation and say that you believe his actions were due to a conflict of interest.

Don't stress out about it OP.

Whatever you do, I would suggest having a sizable amount of cash on hand for a good lawyer, just in case any type of shit goes down.

As far as the kid being in a "bad environment" is concerned, it sounds like most of the evidence is circumstantial.  "A bad temper", and "breaking shit" isn't going to hold up in court.  My guess is that a loaded gun under a couch cushion is "endangering the welfare of a child", but you gotta prove it.

What you need is sound, professional, legal advice on what you can do.

The reality is he's just a lowly "beat cop".  A good lawyer is going to either:  Put him away (and get the kid back), and get you off the hook if he tries shit.

Talk to a lawyer, get the kid, move 20 min away to the next town and out of hs jurisdiction.

dont sweat it.  he is a rookie on the force, so they dont respect or know him yet.  if he acts out of line now an internal affairs complaint will fuck him for the rest of his carrier.  not to mention no veteran cops will stick their neck out to defend a rookie racist spic

I meant the kid takes the gun and brings it to school from the ex wife's boyfriends house, not the OP. He wouldnt even have to go near either the house or the school.

Either way, it was a joke, getting the kid to bring the firearm to school would be too dangerous to the kid.

What is the penalty for having a gun laying out in the open around a kid anyway? If the cop got charged with it, they would get pretty fucked.

IF it could be proved it would be endangerment definitely.  and OP could get custody of his kid.

but unless you have a picture or  the defendant admits to it, you're pretty much SOL.
