I didn't quite get the part at 7:00 about invisible matter being detectable because of it's gravity. And light goes underneath??

It doesn't interact with light (or electromagnetism in general).  To interact with light matter must be charged.  Without charge light just passes by and doesnt interact; the light wont reflect back into our telescopes/eyes.

Dark matter can be observed through gravitational lensing when no other visible source of mass to bend light is present. There's other ways too.

Actually, the multiverse idea in science emerged out of a need to explain the anthropic principle, as well as preserve determinism in the face of quantum uncertainty.  Thus, the idea is actually a way of avoiding a spiritual explanation of our universe.
