Legal highs ban moves closer(Guernsey)

IMPORTING some legal highs for personal use could soon be banned, according to Customs chief officer Rob Prow.

After outlawing the commercial importation of legal highs in April, the Health and Social Services and Home departments, Drug and Alcohol Strategy and health professionals are now reviewing the situation regarding personal use.

‘It is highly likely that blanket prohibitions on importation will be considered for products found to be the most harmful and that some constituents will, in time, find their way on to controlled drug schedules,’ said Mr Prow.

Guernsey’s Customs and Immigration Service is taking part in the Early Warning System, an EU working group that seeks to identify emerging drugs of concern.

It reports its findings to the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction.

The substances causing most concern are Spice, mephedrone, khat, salvia divinorum and chloro phenyl piperazine (CPP). All are freely available to order on the internet.

‘Each substance will be considered locally and, if deemed appropriate, legislation such as the Misuse of Drugs Law or the Import and Export of Goods (Control) Order may be utilised to implement appropriate restrictions,’ said Mr Prow.

thank god because these drugs were certainly wrecking havoc on the world...


just because something is considered a drug and can directly and strongly alter your perception doesn't mean its a threat. this is stupid as everyone on here already knows. me=preaching to the choir.

there are millions of fake ecstasy pills out there made from BZP, which is a dangerous and potentially legal drug

Yeah this is for Europe, the US will eventually ban all these too (the ones that aren't already illegal).

If you take enough LSA you could trip just as hard as mush or cacti. My largest dose of morning glory (heavenly blues) was 3000 seeds and still today rivals with the intensity of 5 gram mushroom trips or my 3.5 foot Peruvian Torch dose. On that dose I was walking on a warped carpet of color and texture that was waving so hard I could barely stay on it, pretty strong if you ask me (although most people would probably not want to drink all that tea as opposed to sucking on a tab of blotter).
