wtf the deal with world of warcraft

for ages now ive wnadered what the fuss is all about, i usually hate those type of games, but after watching the south park episode about world of warcraft for the second time i suppose id might as well download the free trial. so here it goes.

well im confused already, got a choice of 3 trials,
1. world of warcraft
2.world of warcraft burning crusade
3.world of warcraft wrath of the liche king

just do the world of warcraft trial.  bc and wotlk are expansions.. and if you aren't going to keep playing the game, you wont need the expansions.. they really dont kick in until higher levels anyway.

i lost 2 years of my life to that game.. but i did get a free alienware laptop, a video card, a x-fi card, and a g15 keyboard out of it..

I play on a private server as of now.

world of chris. not too bad, dont have to pay and the endgame raids are scripted.

plus with the 50x XP you can level 1 to 70 in a couple hours. Or just vote and they put you right to 70.

Much less of a drain on your social life and still get your wow fix.

I wanted to see what all the fuss is about too. Started playing http://pwi.perfectworld.com/ since it seems pretty close to WoW, and its free. It was highly entertaining at first but seems rather pointless now so im taking a break and playing dead space instead. I suppose I should get back to it since i was one level away from getting my first flying mount.

When I used to play sped I'd end up to sped and ditch my friends from wow while still talking on Xfire and I'd go play counter strike, fast paced knomwsayin?

But ya I had tons of fun playing WoW, you should play it on mushrooms! That was fucking AWESOME! You become surrounded by the 'world' of warcrack!

It sucks at the beggining cause you have shitty gear and all but once you start getting higher levels and you get mounts then it becomes fun

WoW is fucking boring as hell. My friends who play try and explain it to me and the only conclusion I can draw is that they get boners from watching a number go higher. "No, see, it's really cool, 'cuz see like I'm trading this for some whatever, and then this guy can turn it into armor and the armor has +10% whateverthefuck!" Then they get the armor and they're still just running around clicking on shit until it dies. Or clicking on their teammates to heal them so they don't die. It never fucking changes.

I dunno though maybe it ain't that bad. I don't play much in the way of videogames ... pretty much just CoD4 and uh ... no wait, that's it.

thats what i always thought, but i thought i may as well try it so i know for sure. i can see why people enjoy playing it.

I thought the same thing then my friend ran me through dungeons or w/e the fuck their called, I forgot cause I haven't played in ages. I started leveling up and getting new pieces and new spells and shit and before I knew it I was hooked :P

I HATE those kind of games, I'm all about shooters/war games but it was pretty fucking fun, playing it stoned is awesome too cause it becomes an actual world :lol:

My addiction to counter strike though got out of hand, wasted SO many hours playing that game
