I don't dislike them, I just think they are overrated, especially radiohead. Only because radiohead for example is one of the first bands lots of people associate with psychedelia and I just don't think they capture it very much. great music, but not really what I consider very psychedelic. Some of it more so than others, but all in all, not really.

I'm not the biggest Tool fan but Aenima was really badass

My love for tool comes in waves. Ill go through a phase of a couple weeks listening to them for soo much and then just stop for a long time. Every time i come back it brings back memories though.

I think it is pretty dumb to complain about why people like/dislike certain bands (music). It's relatively subjective.

well the only problem is there are a ton of "tripping music" threads where you have to sift through pages and pages of Radiohead recommendations...that's the only thing that irks me about it. Plus I feel like if you set them as the standard, put them on top, you are kind of aiming low. So it affects me personally in that I care for this world and I want people to be more imaginative or have higher aspirations. I find radiohead to be too much a mesh of ambientish sounds instead of something truly awe-inspiring, but maybe that's just me. You are right music is relative. Don't get me wrong though, like I said, I do like their music, plus I like to step off of the high horse and give anything a fair chance, for the most part.

Radiohead is cool but I try to listen to more positive vibe music these days like animal collective.

Kid A is sick!  I think OK Computer might be a bit over-rated even though it's awesome

I agree with the bizzle. Which is why personally I'm a huge fan of Tool. They are awe-inspiring to me. The first time I heard them I was tripping, and I was tripping for the first time. It was Pushit (live) off the Salival album. Maybe now you can see why I'm such a fan.

I'm not big fans of their music, but the people in the bands, especially Tool, seem like really cool guys.

It's not angry. That's what people don't understand. Sure, some of it is. But a lot of it isn't. It's just intensity. Intense =/= anger. Pushit live opened my eyes to something totally new. and gonz, when I heard that line I was like just oh boy what am i gettin myself into, and shut my eyes for the next 10 minutes.
